KIM KARDASHIAN’S CHOICE: IVANKA OR MEGHAN?

Kim Kardashian’s 43rd birthday party at Funke in Beverly Hills on October 20 was noteworthy for one guest who showed up and one guest who DIDN’T. My Kardashian source revealed that Kim is helping Ivanka Trump get back in good graces with celebrities after committing social suicide by sticking with her unpopular father, Donald Trump. As we told you awhile back, Ivanka is eager to regain her social status and grateful that Kim is helping her. Kim also is trying to kiss up to Meghan Markle and invited HER to the birthday bash, but once Meghan found out Ivanka was attending, she politely declined. Our source says that Meghan’s dislike of Donald was enough to keep her away from Ivanka and might threaten her friendship with Kim and the other Kardashians.

BEYONCE HAS SUPER CONCERT PLANNED FOR LUCKY L.A.

Beyoncé is having a star studded birthday party and YOU are invited… IF you can afford the steep ticket price! Beyoncé is turning 42 on September 4 and she’s performing in LA that day on her Renaissance World Tour. Our source says lucky concertgoers can expect to see a fabulous bunch of surprise guests joining Queen Bey on stage as she celebrates her birthday. The final details are still being worked out, but potential performers include her husband Jay-Z, Madonna, Britney Spears, Chris Martin and even a Destiny’s Child mini reunion with Kelly Rowland! For the majority of us who won’t be there, the plan is to tape the concert and sell it to a streaming service….of course.

Birthday Dave Chappelle Madison Square Garden

JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT YOU KNEW DAVE CHAPPELLE …

Funnyman Dave Chappelle turns 50 today and he’s celebrating with a party for his closest friends, his THOUSANDS of close friends. Dave is in the midst of performing his sold out comedy shows in New York City but he has the night off to celebrate his birthday. He rented out Madison Square Garden (the same venue where he’s doing his standup shows) and invited thousands of his family, friends, business associates and more to join him in the celebration. Guests have already been told that the birthday party will be taped and perhaps turned into a Netflix special, so my source says that Dave is expected to perform at least part of his standup routine for his guests tonight. That’s not all, expect a ton of his fellow comics to show up and roast him as well. Should be fun. Keep an eye out for his cute wife Elaine (above) – little did we know he’s been happily married for 22 years – he and his wife live on a 65 acre farm in Ohio (!) with their 3 kids…

Birthday Leonardo DiCaprio Mick Jagger

MICK JAGGER CAN ALWAYS GET WHAT HE WANTS

Even a rainstorm couldn’t stop the biggest celebration in London this weekend: Mick Jagger’s 80th birthday party. It started early at Mick’s home in London and continued at a Chelsea nightclub until 3 AM. Mick was with his current companion Melanie Hamrick (they have a 7 year old son!) Nice to see that Mick’s ex Jerry Hall was there along with several of his adult kids, numerous UK socialites, and plenty of celebrities. Ronnie Wood was there, but no Keith. Poor Leonardo DiCaprio! He looks disappointed that he can no longer wear a covid mask to disguise his famous self, so he has to pull his baseball cap down to avoid attention. Mick looks like he’s in good shape – and no beard!

ASAP Rocky Birthday Party Rihanna

RIHANNA IS MORE DOWN TO EARTH THAN SHE LOOKS

Rihanna doesn’t mind going overboard when it comes to fashion, but she wants her kids to have normal lives. She’s hosting a no-frills Beverly Hills bash for her son, RZA’s first birthday on May 13. According to a friend, Rihanna waited until the last minute to call her guests and personally invite them to the casual get-together. Although it’s being held at a friend’s large home in Beverly Hills, practical Rihanna isn’t going overboard. She’s a very hands-on mom, so she and her personal chef are preparing a traditional Barbados meal of flying fish and cou-cou for her guests. They’re also baking the cake and decorating the place themselves with streamers and balloons. Although they could easily hire a party planner and spend a lot of money like the Kardashians do for those kids’ birthdays, Rihanna and ASAP Rocky are determined to give their kids a normal childhood, despite their fortune and fame.

OPRAH’S OVER-THE-TOP BIRTHDAY PLANS

It’s almost a year away but Oprah Winfrey has alerted her friends to save the date or actually a whole week next January. Oprah’s turning 70 next January 29 and she’s continuing her tradition of hosting an extravagant birthday soirée every 10 years. Her last blowout bash was when she turned 60, and for 70, she’s planning to outdo herself. She hasn’t decided on the locale, but she already mailed her friends fancy save-the-date cards to give them enough time to plan their schedules accordingly. She’s working with a party planner and possible venues include a cruise, Hawaii, Bora Bora or Africa.(!) Generous Oprah will pick up the tab for EVERYTHING, including transportation, accommodations, food and festivities. We’re DYING to know who’s on that guest list…

Madonna is not one to ignore her birthday – even if it happens to be her 64th. She LOVES a big party and flew a boatload of friends to her favorite place in Sicily, an 18th century Sicilian palace, for a lavish celebration. She’s been planning the big day (August 16) for months, according to The Sun, and will spare no expense for the dinner and live band – there HAS to be dancing. This year it will be interesting to see WHO she dances with – she broke up with her dancer boyfriend Ahlamalik Williams a few months ago, and has been on the prowl in fishnet stockings ever since…

Amy Schumer Birthday Pan Am Building TWA Hotel

AMY SCHUMER: BACK TO THE FUTURE

Amy Schumer celebrated what she called her “second 40th birthday” – her 41st- at a place we didn’t know existed- the TWA Hotel. The TWA hotel opened in the fabulous old Pan Am airline building at JFK that opened in 1962- designed by Eero Saarinen. We were lucky to have traveled on Pan Am more than once and the building’s futuristic feeling was always thrilling. It was the first time we remember feeling architectural excitement. SO glad the building was saved when it became too small for modern planes. The hotel opened before the pandemic and is lucky to still be around. All furnishings are midcentury modern and a vintage plane has been turned into a cocktail bar. All this and it’s dog-friendly! Amy and friends had a great time exploring and partying all weekend.
