Back in the 1960’s, French actor Alain Delon was the male version of Brigitte Bardot – he was THAT popular. He was compared to James Dean, but actually Delon was more of the classic “pretty boy” type – a smooth, beautifully dressed European who always had a cigarette in hand. Now 78, Delon turned up at a Louis Vuitton fashion event in Paris and the lucky guy still has a full head of hair.

Ah, remakes. They’re the curse of the film world, and sometimes the music world. Billy Ray Cyrus recorded a tongue-in-cheek version of his 1992 hit Achy Breaky Heart, only with a hip hop makeover courtesy of rapper Buck 22, and the skankiest video girls we’ve seen in a long time. It’s just for fun and of course there are plenty of references to his daughter Miley and her twerking. Billy Ray’s mullet has been replaced by a beard that makes him look a lot older. The New York Post offered the new and old video up for comparison.
We cannot overlook one of the most extreme cases of what twenty years (and some undesirable behavior) can do to a person that we have ever seen! Bryan Abrams, the immaculately groomed singer (and George Michael clone) from the 90’s group Color Me Badd sang “I Wanna Sex You Up” and legions of girls squealed in ecstasy. He was a genuine pretty boy. Now its 2013 – he’s 44- and life has not been kind to him – he turned up in court in Oklahoma (multiple domestic abuse and substance abuse issues) looking like THIS! Here’s an actor we wouldn’t have recognized even if we ran smack into him on the street. Adrian Grenier no longer resembles the A-list movie star Vincent Chase that he played so well on the TV series Entourage. He’s got a lot more hair and maybe a few pounds.

Look who showed up in Los Angeles this weekend – and NOT for The Golden Globes, although they are former winners. It’s Paul Hogan and Linda Kozlowski who starred as Mick and Sue in the worldwide phenomenon of 1986, “Crocodile Dundee.” After meeting on the movie set, they fell in love and married in 1990 and moved to Australia. 27 years later they returned to LA for an event called the “G’Day USA Black Tie Gala” Saturday night and they look as happy as ever.

Yikes! Singer/songwriter Pete Doherty was a hot commodity in the 2000’s – he had style and a bad boy reputation. Plus his girlfriend was supermodel Kate Moss and that brought him a lot of credibility. His drug and alcohol abuse landed him in many awkward situations including jail, and his battle with crack and heroin broke up his band Babyshambles. He used to be sexy when he was young but now he looks puffy and debauched in this photo from Cannes It’s not pretty when you’re 33 and over the hill.
David Bowie turned 65 yesterday and we couldn’t help but pay tribute to one of the truly important music and fashion innovators of the world. In this undated photo (we’re guessing early 70’s) Bowie appears to be nonchalantly eating in the dining car of a train. Maybe someone out there can identify his companion.
Peter Frampton did an interview on NPR in which he talked about finding his favorite long-lost guitar. Frampton acquired the Les Paul guitar in 1970 and always used it onstage. In 1980 the band equipment (not the band) was on a plane that crashed in South America. All seemed lost, but somehow the guitar survived and ended up in the Caribbean. Recently, a guitar collector spotted it and contacted Frampton who was thrilled to get it back. The story’s nice, but we can’t get over how much Peter Frampton has CHANGED! Yikes!
It’s been nine years since Clay Aiken appeared on American Idol and the boyish singer has matured considerably – in fact we didn’t recognize him in his suited office look. Since he placed second on Idol, Clay has released multiple albums and toured many times to the delight of his “Claymates” – middle aged female fans who threw their panties on the stage. The panty days appear to be over and Clay has come out as gay and now has a young son. His latest metamorphosis is as a businessman for Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice.

He was the heart throb lead singer in the duo Seona Dancing signed to London records. (CLICK HERE to see his video) The music business didn’t work out for him so he turned to comedy.
