This is how Dita Von Teese looks when she goes shopping at Fred Segal and Vivienne Westwood on Melrose Ave. Perfection. We have never seen her in the same outfit twice, but she’s not as high maintenance as you might think – Dita says she does her OWN hair and makeup every day! The only thing missing from this picture is an appropriate car – Dita should drive a vintage Cadillac Coupe de Ville or a Lincoln Continental.

Katie Holmes seems to be totally enthralled by the vast shoe department at Barneys (it must be nice to be able to buy anything you want.) While she was browsing she was oblivious to cameras – or anyone else looking at her, for that matter. Don’t let the tummy fool you- it’s more likely she had a big lunch than a baby coming.
Orlando Bloom has said that he “tries not to excuse himself from real life” and we believe him. He was seen browsing in the flower department at Pavilions supermarket in West Hollywood this weekend. He looked at everything available and was friendly and chatted with several other shoppers before deciding on a large bouquet of white roses. Orlando married model Miranda Kerr last summer and their baby Flynn was born January 6, so he has plenty to celebrate.
Jada Pinkett Smith is a huge fan of crystals – she likes to wear them, touch them, and look at them. She’s apparently a frequent visitor at Crystalarium because she knows her way around the West Hollywood store. One of Jada’s first stops after returning from her daughter Willow’s European tour with Justin Bieber was the crystal store. A fellow shopper reported that Jada “spent a lot of money” – she picked out a gemstone pendant, several crystals and minerals, and books about crystal healing. Some people believe that gemstones have therapeutic qualities. Maybe she needed a quick cure for jet lag.
Now that Jennifer Aniston has her superfabulous Architectural Digest house completed in Los Angeles, she has turned her attention to New York. Like Barbra Streisand, Jen loves buying and re-doing new properties for herself. (Her pal Courteney Cox flips houses) According to the New York Post’s Jennifer Gould Keil, Jennifer took a long look at an 8.75 million dollar penthouse in the Village. Four years ago the place was priced at 14.5 million and it’s back on the market. It’s a 5 bedroom 4 bath four level penthouse with a keyed elevator and stairs. 17 ft ceilings, a real fireplace and a landscaped roof garden add to the charm. Jennifer’s thinking it over.

You can see by the look on her face that Rachel Zoe is dead serious about shopping. She rummaged through the shoes on sale rack at Barneys and found a few pairs she liked. Nope, she’s not shopping for a client. The fact that she’s five and a half months pregnant doesn’t stop her from trying on platform shoes with nine inch heels.
It’s nice to see Meg Ryan and her longtime pal Laura Dern and their respective daughters having fun shopping in New York. Meg’s little girl Daisy is 6 and Laura’s daughter Jaya is 6 also and the kids are fast friends. Laura’s divorce just might be on hold because she and her estranged husband Ben Harper have been seen looking chummy in LA.
Hard to imagine, but there ARE a substantial number of women out there who have a crush on a 75 year old man -specifically Leonard Cohen. If you’ve been to one of his concerts, you know this is true. His fans don’t get a lot of personal information about him and they’re always interested in his love life, which continues to flourish. An informant of ours spotted the mysterious Mr Cohen shopping in Ralph’s market on 3rd and La Brea in Los Angeles. He was wearing a suit and a fedora and walking beside his girlfriend Anjani Thomas, who was pushing the shopping cart. Hawaii born Anjani is also a singer and songwriter and they collaborate in more ways than one.

Lindsay Lohan claims she’s broke and can’t afford to pay for the treatment she’s getting at Betty Ford, but every time she gets a pass she hits the stores. (She’s also managing to keep her lips plumped and that can be pricey.) Does anyone remember the “Lindsay the hoarder” episode on The Insider last February? Are the people at Betty Ford aware that Lindsay has MORE than one addiction problem?
