ABC is upping the ante for their culture clash show Celebrity Wife Swap by booking two religious fanatics for the reality series – disgraced evangelist Ted Haggard, and crackpot actor Gary Busey, who is also a minister with Promise Keepers. Haggard became famous when he was caught doing drugs and having sex with a male prostitute. He allows he’s probably bisexual and has returned to the ministry. For some reason his wife Gayle is still with him. Certainly anybody who can not only put up with Gary Busey’s annoying habits (played out on Celebrity Rehab,) AND have a baby with him, is puzzling. These WOMEN will be fascinating. Gary’s baby-mama Steffanie >Sampson will trade places with Ted’s wife Gayle on the show and the rest is up to Jesus.

OSCAR DE LA JOYA: ARE THESE PHOTOS WORTH 20 MILLION DOLLARS?

It’s about time that reformed boozer Oscar De La Hoya fessed up that he LIED about those scandalous drag photos from 2008 being photoshopped. Did anyone believe him for a minute? Those pics and the sexy dancer Milana Dravnel who took them, must have been preying on his conscience. After Milana released the photos and described their wild antics, Oscar called HER a liar and denied everything. She sued him for slander and they settled behind closed doors. Rumor has it Oscar paid her 20 million to shut up and give him the fishnets, heels and wig used in the pix. If Oscar had come clean back then, he could have saved 20 million dollars! At least Milana is living happily ever after!

“Dancing With The Stars” is negotiating with disgraced politician Anthony Weiner to join the dancing celebrities next season. Yes, the same U.S. Representative who resigned after twittering nude photos of himself to numerous women, and lying about it. Unbelievable? Think it over. The show had great ratings when Bristol Palin danced, and Celebrity Apprentice ratings soared when former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich participated on that show. Politicial figures- especially those involved in scandals, pull in lots of viewers.

WHAT SCIENTOLOGY DID TO PLACIDO DOMINGO JR

We applaud The Village Voice for their continuous reporting on Scientology defections. Musician Placido Domingo Jr (son of the opera singer) was a member of Scientology for 20 years until the church tried to make him “disconnect” from his ex-wife and three daughters. (That means cut all ties with them.) His wife had left the church and was considered and “enemy.” When outraged Domingo refused to disconnect, the church persuaded members to “de-friend” him on Facebook, and published a blog detailing personal information he had confided to the church about his life – including infidelity. Domingo said of his experience: “If I can get other people not to fall into this trap, I’d be doing them a favor.”

We’ve pretty much got the main characters in the Dominique Strauss – Kahn accused rape case figured out – he’s a sleazy philanderer, but maybe not a rapist, and the maid doing the accusing isn’t above turning a few tricks. (We heard he refused to pay her and while she was cleaning the next room she decided to press charges) The REAL mystery in the sordid tale is Kahn’s wife Anne Sinclair, who was once described as “the most famous, brilliant and beautiful “ TV star in France. The wealthy heiress put up her husband’s 6 million dollar bail and hired the most expensive lawyers she could find. She loves him. Those lawyers dug up the dirt on the maid that all but ended the case. Kahn’s freshly documented history of extramarital sex to the point of addiction doesn’t seem to bother his wife at all. Nor does the fact that Kahn had unprotected sex with that maid! French women like to think they are “more sophisticated and worldly” than American wives and they tolerate cheating in their smug politician husbands. In fact, they can be compared to women who wear burqas and say they don’t mind being forced to cover themselves with black cloth. Brainwashed.

This is the house that Arnold Schwarzenegger generously bought for his “retiring” housekeeper Mildred Patricia Baena, according to the realtor who made the deal. The $268,000 Bakersfield home has 4 bedrooms 2 baths and a nice yard and pool. Baena,50, has not been home since Monday when the scandal broke so she’s missing all the fun. (We bet some news outlet has bought her story and hid her in a fancy hotel until they get the scoop.) The street is packed with reporters and TV crews and the neighbors can’t stop talking. Many gleefully mention Baena’s son’s resemblance to Arnold. As we recall, Marlon Brando had the same kind of relationship with his housekeeper but we don’t think he was married at the time.

Crimes and Misdemeanors Fraud IRS Kabbalah Madonna scandal

IT’S ABOUT TIME: MADONNA’S KABBALAH CENTER IS BEING INVESTIGATED BY IRS

This is turning out to be a good week for justice. First, the killing of Osama Bin Laden, and now the Kabbalah Center (which has tax-exempt status like that other cult, Scientology) is being investigated in a tax evasion probe! Among other things they’re looking for evidence to prove that money donated to Madonna’s charities went into the Berg family’s pockets (they run the Kabbalah center.) According to the Los Angeles Times, a former financial officer at the center claims he was fired for pointing out instances of income tax fraud at the center which owns 200 million dollars worth of UNTAXED property along with a 60 million dollar investment fund. The Bergs claim they get no income from the center, but are given free room and board. (A simple little house in Beverly Hills!) The Bergs were also sued by an heiress earlier this year who claims they defrauded her out of millions of dollars. Her lawyer predicted that “any IRS review will result in a revocation of their nonprofit status and criminal prosecution of the family.” Madonna’s connection remains to be seen. Maybe it’s time to take off that red string bracelet. (M’s spokesperson declined to comment.)
