Ricky Martin, 40, unloaded another Miami house – this one’s been on and off the market for five years. When he bought the homes he was a playboy leading “La Vida Loca.” Now that he has a serious boyfriend, Carlos Gonzalez, and a set of three year old twin boys, he’s thinking in more practical terms. Like what’s best for Valentino and Matteo. (Every time we see as long staircase like that we think of the tragic story of the little California boy who slid down the banister and cracked his head on the marble floor.) His huge Miami Beach “Mediterranean” house was once on the market for 19.8 million and he finally sold it for 10.6. The family is now living in New York where Ricky is starring as Che in “Evita” on Broadway.

Ricky Martin is married! The openly gay singer exchanged vows on the beach at the St. Regis resort in Bora Bora on January 12 with his muscular boyfriend of four years, Carlos Gonzalez, a financier from Puerto Rico. According to a friend, the couple shelled out over $10,000 a night for the most luxurious over-water bungalow at the five star resort and exchanged their own vows in a candlelit ceremony on the beach. “It wasn’t legally binding but it was spiritual and personal,” the friend says. “They have twins and in their eyes they’ve been married forever.”

In 2000, Ricky was thinking of adopting.
It turns out Ricky Martin loves kids and often talks about becoming a father. With no special person in his life, Ricky was considering adopting as a single parent. He fell in love with an orphaned six year old boy he met in Puerto Rico and he’s been sending the kid clothes, toys, and money. Ricky wasn’t sure the time was right to adopt, but he gave it serious thought.

You’d think (in 2000) Ricky Martin would be pretty satisfied with his physique but he has one major complaint: his bottom! Ricky decided his butt was too flat and he’s turned to the pros for help. He’s doing everything from rock climbing to special exercises to boost his behind. (Maybe this is a job for Suzanne Somers and her Butt-master!) It’s a big secret, but Ricky has even resorted to wearing specially designed buttocks pads sewn into his jeans! Of course he’s considered surgical butt implants, but the idea scares him. So for now, it’s exercise and padding.

Renee, who denies having an eating disorder, needed to have padding sewed into her clothes to give her a round bottom. We bet Catherine Zeta Jones didn’t need any augmentation.

It’s not fun being accused of having a fake bottom! Jessica Simpson suffered that indignity when she was flaunting her backside in daisy dukes in The Dukes of Hazzard. Ricky Martin was also accused of enhancing his backside by adding padding to his jeans, when he was on tour a few years ago. 1999: Ricky Martin is happy with his success but craving a little freedom. He’s been going out in Los angeles disguised as a bum! Ricky wears a long shaggy blonde wig, raggedy clothes, and Gilligan style hat and big sunglasses. His getup is so convincing he had a hard time getting past the doorman when he tried to visit a friend in a West hollywood highrise. The security guard thought he was a homeless person and refused to buzz him in.
