ASHLEE SIMPSON HAS THE SENSE TO PUT HER CAREER BEFORE BABYMAKING

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz had hoped to give their infant son Bronx a baby brother or sister in 2009, but they had to put it on the back burner – for at least a year. That’s because Ashlee is joining “Melrose Place” and she promised producers she wouldn’t get pregnant. Her character’s story-line wouldn’t work with a pregnancy and Ashlee doesn’t want to jeopardize this new role which means a lot to her.

Pete Wentz was guest DJ at the Atlanta club Fever last weekend and his Fall Out Boy band members and his girlfriend Ashlee Simpson came along for the ride. The guys had a great time – they were mobbed by babelicious admirers all night, and Ashlee, who’s usually the center of attention, just had to grin and bear it. Pete has lightened up on the eyeliner, hasn’t he?

PETE WENTZ FINDS HIS ENTERTAINMENT IN UNEXPECTED PLACES

Pete Wentz, a confessed Star Wars geek, stopped at the Union 76 gas station in West Hollywood and couldn’t resist picking up a couple of DVD’s. We strained to see the titles – one was a “suspense thriller” and the other was Disney’s new digitally remastered version of Tron. The gas station guy eating his lunch looks puzzled by the attention Pete’s attracting. Maybe Pete will surprise his girlfriend Ashlee Simpson with a movie night at home.
