CHER DOESN’T HAVE TO DIET – SHE JUST GETS TALLER!

You gotta give Cher some credit – she figured out a whole new way to feel thinner without giving up ice cream or the other yummy desserts she loves. She lies about her HEIGHT! Back in the 1970’s Cher admitted to being 5’6” and she still towered over her husband Sonny Bono. In the eighties she claimed to be ALMOST 5’8”, and currently she insists she is officially 5’9”. Having been to her yard sale years ago, we KNOW she is 5’5” to 5’6” at the MOST. (We tried on her clothes!) Cher figures that if she is 5’9,” she can eat more and whatever she weighs (135 lbs?) looks like LESS because she’s tall. HOW DID THEY TALK CHER INTO PLAYING MERYL STREEP’S MOTHER IN MAMMA MIA: HERE WE GO AGAIN?

Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again had an impressive premier in London with all the stars – old and new. The crowd gave Cher a particularly loud ovation- she plays Meryl Streep’s mother in the film – and she’s only three years older in real life! (Back in the day, Meryl and Cher costarred in Silkwood.) This follow-up of the original 2008 movie goes back in time with Downton Abbey’s Lily James playing Meryl Streep‘s character as a young girl. Cher confessed she was afraid her voice was all wrong to sing Abba songs, but it all worked out, and she pulled on her best Goth look for the opening night.

Apparently Kim Kardashian wasn’t kidding when she declared herself a huge fan of Cher. WHY ARE CHER AND THE KARDASHIANS PRETENDING TO BE FRIENDS?

Actually, Cher and Kim and Kourtney Kardashian DO have something in common besides heavy eye make-up – their Armenian-American heritage. They were all invited to the premier of The Promise – a romantic film that plays out during the Armenian genocide. (Apparently it was a no-Jenner evening.) It might be time for Cher to pull Bob Mackie out of retirement. Her outfit leaves a lot to be desired, and what can one say about that unfortunate sequin hat? Kim is her usual hyper-sexual self, but Kourtney looks cool and modern.

SINCE WHEN DOES CHER NOT WANT TO BE NOTICED?

Cher made a big deal out of being escorted out of the back door at Craig’s restaurant to avoid the waiting paparazzi. And it makes no sense. If she didn’t want to be seen, why would Cher dine at the most heavily paparazzi-ed eatery in Hollywood? (Certainly not for the food!) Many famous faces are always there, and were that same night, and they leave through the front door! It makes you wonder if she has a stalker or something…

CHER URGES GYPSIES, TRAMPS, AND THIEVES TO VOTE FOR HILLARY CLINTON

Cher is on a breakneck last minute tour of cities where she’s performing and hosting fundraisers for Hillary Clinton. She’s been all over the place – from Boston and Chicago to Detroit and Florida. We haven’t seen her this excited since she campaigned for Ross Perot! Cher makes plenty of anti-Trump speeches to entertain voters – most of which are x-rated. She recently compared Donald Trump to the pig-tailed malevolent blonde child in the movie “The Bad Seed.”

Cher Long Time No See

HEY CHER! LONG TIME NO SEE!

It’s been awhile since we’ve laid eyes on Cher having a good time. After cancelling some concerts and personal appearances, she appears to be in very good health in St Tropez where she’s shopping with friends and took an ice cream break. (You don’t get to see Cher EATING very often, either!) Perhaps she went to Europe to escape the political situations here – Cher gets very emotionally involved and often disappointed.

WHAT DO CHER AND WILLOW SMITH HAVE IN COMMON?

Cher, 69, HAS to look good pretty much all the time now that she’s the face of Marc Jacobs Fall Collection. (They went to the Met Gala together.) He probably gave her a truckload of new outfits. She’s sharing the honor with Willow Smith, 14, because Marc says that “Style knows no age.” Cher showed up at LAX in an interesting jacket and loads of hair.

Cher Long Time No See

CHER IS TWEETING FROM NEW YORK

Cher hasn’t been seen a lot since she cancelled her tour last fall for health reasons. She was suffering from a viral infection that affected her kidneys. She’s been home tweeting a lot lately however. Occasionally her tweets are a little nuts like the one claiming that diet drinks are just as fattening as sugary sodas, but she’s always opinionated. Above, Cher was photographed on her way to see “Hamilton” at the Public Theater downtown – it’s described as the hottest ticket in New York.

Cher Elijah Blue Married

CHER’S SON ELIJAH WANTS A REALITY SHOW OF HIS OWN

Life with Cher can’t be easy. Both of her kids, Elijah, 37, and Chaz, 44, have had serious rifts with her, but usually patched things up. Elijah has always been the one who kept to himself, but now he’s TALKING. He admitted that he had a heroin problem in the past. He and his girlfriend Angie were living with Cher at her Malibu house for quite awhile but he moved out in October after they had an argument. (He met Angie, 26, when he was in Germany being treated for Lyme disease and she was in a band.) It seems Cher didn’t get along with Angie and two months after they moved out, Elijah and Angie got married and Cher stayed away. Cher and Elijah haven’t spoken for months and she never acknowledged his marriage. Why is he spilling the beans now? Elijah wants a reality show! He wants a show documenting him while he refurbishes his ordinary house into a medieval dwelling.
