TIMOTHEE CHALAMET HAS BECOME THE MALE ZENDAYA

And that is not an insult. Zendaya is the undisputed Darling of the Red Carpet and every designer competes to dress her. Not many men can make that claim, but Timothee Chalamet definitely can. He’s not TOO eccentric (like MGK ) but he’s game for almost anything – skirts and halter tops included. He seems to enjoy being somewhat sexually ambiguous because it’s fashionable now. He does look spectacular at the premier of his film Bones & All in London in this Alexander McQueen white suit and diamond bone necklace by Vivienne Westwood. He and costar Taylor Russell play romantic cannibals in the film, directed by the same Italian director, Luca Guadagnino, who made Timothee a star in Call me by Your Name. LADY GAGA TRIES HARDER AND SHE’S SPECTACULAR AT THE VMA AWARDS

Lady Gaga made her usual dazzling entrance at the VMA Awards decked out head to toe in a tribute to the late fabulous designer Alexander McQueen. He would have been proud. She’s one of the few celebrities with the courage to flaunt his designs. It’s difficult to imagine that Gaga – back when she was Stefani Germanotta- was a die-hard fan of –not Madonna– but BRITNEY SPEARS and aped her style! Her high school yearbook said that Stefani and Britney were “separated at birth.” The resemblance is long gone. Fortunately.

Alexander McQueen Deceased Fashion Thanks for the Memories

THE PASSING OF ALEXANDER MCQUEEN IS TO THE FASHION WORLD, WHAT THE LOSS OF MICHAEL JACKSON WAS TO THE MUSIC WORLD

It’s with an aching heart that we must report the tragic loss of brilliant UK designer Alexander McQueen. Devastated by the death of his mother last week, Mcqueen, only 40, apparently hung himself in his London apartment. He was certainly one of the most prolific and imaginative designers of our lifetime – anyone who loved fashion aspired to own something by McQueen. The pieces we have of his are now collector’s items. In a recent interview Mcqueen said “In my passing, I do not want my label to go forward.” Mountains of flower arrangements, bouquets, and cards are heaped outside his store on Melrose Avenue and a sign says it will not re-open until Monday. It’s the end of an era.

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN’S EVOLUTION OF THE HIGH HEEL SHOE

Hot on the heels of Richard Dawkins’ book defining evolution, designer Alexander McQueen became inspired by the notion of Darwin’s The Origin of the Species, and these shoes and fashions were the result. His collection featured feathers and amphibian scales and prehistoric greenery. (The models even have gills on their temples.) The pinnacle of the collection, however, are the 12 inch high booties that resemble animal hooves. We’d like to see an X-ray of the position of the model’s feet inside. Walking a catwalk can be dangerous.
