We don’t think Keanu Reeves is really all that “sad” but we get a huge kick out of the “Sad Keanu“ internet phenomenon. Someone took paparazzi photos of Keanu eating a sandwich alone on a park bench and started superimposing the Keanus into all kinds of different scenes with funny and absurd results. Keanu himself is only mildly aware of the situation and says “it sounds like harmless fun,” which it is. If he ever gets around to googling “Sad Keanu” he will be overwhelmed with amusing photos.

keanu gave an interview on this and was cool about it.
keanu reeves has had challenges in his life ( an estranged father in prison, a sister who was seriously ill with cancer, a former gf who was killed in a car accident- this same GF miscarried their child together ) he has every reason to be a little bit sad.
but he also strikes me as someone like david arquette who wants to do his own thing and not maintain the facade of celebrity.
i cant imagine seeing someone like jennifer anniston chilling in public eating a sandwich!
Keanu Reeves does not have girlfriends and sometimes I wish people could just wake up to that fact.
