CHARLIZE THERON: JUST ANOTHER SINGLE MOM

Charlize Theron and her mom took Charlize’s kids for a special event at their private school in Studio City. She’s already lost most of the 35 pounds she gained for her new film Tully. Theron’s little girl August is 2 and her son Jackson is 6 and getting very tall. Jackson is obsessed with Elsa from Frozen – his favorite color is pink and he loves to wear tutus. Going to school can be a challenge for a gender fluid child, but Charlize encourages Jackson to be himself.

The fan that pointed out that Kylie Jenner’s baby Stormi looks more like Kylie’s bodyguard Tim Chung than boyfriend Travis Scott made a brilliant observation. 26 year old part-time security guard Chung is an LA policeman and an occasional model. That observant fan has made him a mini-celebrity and now he has over half a million followers on Instagram. Tim has worked off and on for the Kardashian family guarding other sisters and kids. Actually Stormi would be genetically luckier if Tim WAS her dad – he’s a lot better looking than rapper Travis Scott.

VOGUE’S ANNA WINTOUR PULLED A FAST ONE AT THE MET GALA

For some inexplicable reason Anna Wintour wants us to think she has taken pity on Harvey Weinstein’s estranged wife Georgina Chapman and her fashion company Marchesa. Whatever her motivation, Wintour managed to land Chapman’s first interview since the Weinstein scandal changed Hollywood. And that IS a scoop – EXCEPT it featured Chapman in an absurdly (“poor little me!”) sympathetic light with not ONE word of “How could you NOT have known what he was up to?” Not even “Exactly WHAT attracted you to this man you married?” In exchange for the self-serving interview, Wintour coaxed Scarlett Johansson into wearing a Marchesa gown to the Gala. PAMELA ANDERSON KISSED MALIBU GOODBYE

Pamela Anderson, 50, is no longer a familiar sight in Malibu and she says she might never return to California if it weren’t for her sons Dylan and Brandon, above. She is now living in Marseille, France with her 32 year old soccer player boyfriend Adil Rami. They met a year ago at the Grand Prix and have been inseparable ever since. So those romance rumors about Pam and WikiLeaks hacker Julian Assange are not true – they really ARE just friends. With her sons living on their own, Pam rented out her Malibu house and she and her golden retriever Zuzu moved in with Rami. Pam says she always imagined she’d end up living in the South of France and she couldn’t be happier. She does occasionally return to check up on her boys, however.

They costarred in a new kidnapping thriller “Everybody Knows” that opened the festival, and the movie really looks interesting. Penelope’s character and her teen daughter fly to her family home for a large wedding. Her daughter disappears in the middle of the night and Javier’s character (an ex-boyfriend) steps in to help find her. All the family members are under suspicion and surprising things happen…

HOW MUCH FASHION PAYOLA ARE ACTRESSES GETTING TO WEAR GOWNS AT THE MET GALA?

The Met Gala is turning out to be a bigger fashion event that the Cannes Film Festival. We can’t even IMAGINE how much money is changing hands as major fashion houses, jewelry designers etc. BRIBE celebrities to wear their creations! Blake Lively is in big demand because she’s model height (5’10”) and makes the clothes look spectacular. Her Gala gown was gorgeous but obscenely expensive (it took over 600 hours to make!) Recently designers have ALSO been dressing celebrities for the after-parties! (Blake, above in her pricey after-party outfit) No WONDER so many celebrities wouldn’t think of missing the Met Gala – they’d be missing a huge pay check!

Best Dressed Katy Perry Met Gala Worst Dressed Zendaya

WORST AND BEST DRESSED AT THE MET GALA

WORST: Katy Perry should FIRE her stylist or whatever designer put her in this get-up. Not only is it sadly reminiscent of a tacky Victoria’s Secret angel costume, but it’s downright unflattering to the max. And we’re betting Katy took up more room than any other person at the party. SOMEBODY had to be Worst Dressed and Katy was winner by a mile.

BEST: There were lots of creative and glamorous gowns (except Rihanna – ditch that Pope hat!) but we fell in love with the simplicity and power of Zendaya’s Joan of Arc look. It almost looks like it’s made of metal and radiates with female power – but not hyper-sexuality. The 21 year old singer/actress (and former Disney star) just oozes female superiority.

ESAI MORALES IS NO LONGER A BAD BOY

As beards go, we’ve seen much worse examples than this facial hair sported by Esai Morales. Of course this grey beard IS hiding the face of one of the better looking actors in Hollywood, so it’s still a nuisance. We remember Esai’s Smoothly handsome face in 80’s movies Bad Boys and La Bamba – more recently NYPD Blue. He’s always been political – Esai is a National Board Member for SAG-AFTRA and he ran for president of the union this year.
