UK born actress/model Rosie Huntington-Whitely manages to show the back of her satin gown without a hint of vulgarity – something Kim Kardashian doesn’t seem able to do. Whenever Kim flaunts the rear view of an outfit, it’s generally x-rated. THAT’S why paparazzi always ask Kim to “turn around!” Besides her modeling, Rosie, 29, has been very successful with her spokesperson deals with labels and Harper’s Bazaar named her Businesswoman of the Year. No wonder Jason Statham put a ring on it.

CASPER SMART: WHO CAN RESIST A CHOLO?

Certainly not us – we fell in love with Cholo style when we moved to LA decades ago. Jennifer Lopez’s ex Casper Smart knows the power of the Cholo look and he dressed up like one for Wilmer Valderrama’s Halloween party. Now that he’s single, he probably looking for action. He COULD have improved a bit on his look however. The khaki pants should be several sizes bigger and longer – cinched at the waist. Instead of a gold chain he should have a big cross. The bandanna is fine, but a hairnet would have been even better. Finally Casper has all the wrong posture – his chin should be UP so he’s looking down at everyone, and his feet should be turned out. Oh, and the mustache should DROOP. That’s all.

CHARLIZE THERON’S SON JACKSON LIKES TO DRESS LIKE A GIRL

No superheroes here! Charlize Theron’s cute little boy Jackson,5, seems to have a mind of his own. Instead of dressing up like Batman or Superman for Halloween, he dressed in a pink sparkly tutu as a ballerina! (Baby sister August is a ballerina too.) And this isn’t the first time Jackson has dressed like a girl. Last summer he was seen looking like his favorite animated character, Elsa from Frozen. Charlize lets him dress as he pleases. It’s entirely possible that Jackson will grow up to be a sensitive boy with no gender hang-ups and a healthy respect for women. (Above, the Therons are off to a Halloween party in Beverly Hills)

THAT’S KATY PERRY IN HER HILLARY CLINTON HALLOWEEN COSTUME!

When Katy Perry gets behind a candidate, she goes all the way. Katy and a male companion (so far unidentified) attended Kate Hudson’s Halloween party dressed as the Clintons! Talk about attention to detail! These costumes obviously took HOURS of makeup and facial appendages. Katy got all the accessories right. It looks like several friends tagged along as Secret Service people. We can’t imagine her NOT winning “Best Costume” for this effort.

Martial artist/actor Jean Claude Van Damme, 56, was a wild man in the 90’s. Not only was he a womanizer, but he had a massive drug habit and battled bi-polar disorder. We heard loads of drug stories from a Brentwood pharmacy he frequented in all kinds of moods. Nowadays he’s a DAD. Jean Claude took his daughter Bianca, 26, to lunch at Mauro’s Café. She’s his daughter with bodybuilder Gladys Portugues, whom Van Damme married twice. He looks really harmless today in bifocals, carrying a purse….

JAMES PACKER AND MARIAH CAREY’S INEVITABLE SPLIT: IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME!

Is ANYBODY surprised that Australian billionaire James Packer changed his mind about marrying Mariah Carey? Last year when they met, the coupling seemed like a good idea. Both have high school educations and enjoy attention. He’s wealthy and she likes to spend money. Packer was enchanted with Mariah’s glamorous lifestyle and friends, and they both loved yachting and vacationing on tropical islands. But like Packer’s infatuation with Scientology (thanks to Tom Cruise) the novelty wore off. Packer observed how high maintenance and self-indulgent Mariah is, and we think he just got tired of waiting for her to “get ready” with the help of her beauty staff, night after night before they went out. He probably pictured himself holding her up in her high heels for years to come, and came to his senses!

WHAT KIND OF FATHER WAS MICHAEL JACKSON?

Tommy Hilfiger tells a story in his new book “American Dreamer,” that makes us think Michael Jackson’s kids are better off growing up WITHOUT their father. Tommy says that back in the 90’s, Michael wanted to do a clothing line and summoned him to Neverland for a meeting. When Tommy arrived, the butler led him to Michael, who was wearing sunglasses, heavily made up, and sitting on an enormous gold and burgundy throne. Michael said his millions of fans were waiting for a Michael Jackson clothing line and he wanted to partner with Hilfiger. Meanwhile Michael’s two young kids Prince and Paris appeared dressed “like Von Trapp children from The Sound of Music.” Tommy says they wore velvet knickers, patent leather shoes, dirndl jumper, and they both had bleached blonde hair with dark roots and full make-up! (Blanket was still a baby in the nanny’s arms.) Tommy passed on the deal…

GWYNETH PALTROW KNOCKS IT OUT OF THE PARK- FASHION-WISE

Red carpet events are so often dominated by bombshell babes competing for attention that it’s really refreshing to see a natural and just plain pretty look. Gwyneth Paltrow, 44, turned up at the Elle magazine 30th anniversary party in Madrid dressed like THIS and we are IMPRESSED, indeed. She looks like a modern woman AND a medieval princess. Light makeup, simple sleek hair, and a beautifully detailed dress. She doesn’t look like she’s trying too hard. The “consciously uncoupled” actress may be tormented for her somewhat unrealistic lifestyle advice, but Gwyneth has never looked better. It makes you forget all about that Mortdecai movie with Johnny Depp that was such a huge flop last year…
