We had to laugh when we read about former model/actress Carole Mallory’s affairs with famous men in an excerpt from her new book “Picasso’s Ghost” on Page Six. Back in the seventies, party girl Carole was a hot number and slept with numerous celebrities. In 1975, she met Robert DeNiro at the Chateau Marmont and they had a 14 day affair. She was puzzled by the fact that he left his socks on in bed. WE can reveal WHY! In the seventies, everybody wanted to be taller and thinner and actors thought nothing of having their shoes – even running shoes – built up inside to add inches of height. DeNiro took it a step further- we heard that he had his SOCKS built up inside so he’d still be tall in the bedroom. No kidding. It looks like Carole finally validated that piece of ancient but juicy gossip.

When she stood up to claim her Best Actress award, she seemed to catch her skirt on a chair and open up the front seam. Women, including Nicole Kidman, sitting around her gasped. But when she stood onstage the gap had disappeared. It was actually the peekaboo design of the dress that made it APPEAR split, but it never was. Christian Dior’s little trick got a LOT of attention!

Maybe sandals are the only shoes he CAN wear with his foot problem.

Courtney Love is obviously a bit disgruntled over Gwen Stefani’s phenomenal success with her clothing lines – especially L.A.M.B. According to Jezebel.com, Courtney did an interview with ABCNews.com while she was at Sundance, and while discussing her own clothing line “Never the Bride,” the subject of Gwen came up. Courtney bragged that as a matter of fact, SHE dated Gwen’s husband Gavin Rossdale before he got together with Stefani. Love said “His band never did that well but he was really smart. HE runs the Gwen show – the clothing line, HE built up. He has nothing else to do.”
