We never had high fashion expectations for Adidas, but they did hire David Beckham as their style icon awhile back and he IS one of the best dressed all time celebrities. Unfortunately, Adidas has chosen Justin Bieber as their new style icon for the next two years and we wonder how many guys will really want to look like HIM.
It’s not clear whether NBA star Kris Humphries a real mama’s boy or just a considerate son, but rumor has it he has moved his mother Debra into his New York bachelor pad. Debra filed for divorce from his father William after 30 years of marriage in July, and when it became final, she quietly moved into Kris’s apartment, according to our pal CJ at the Minneapolis StarTribune. Certainly, he enjoys being pampered by his mom, but how will she react when he brings girlfriends home? Or better yet, how will the girlfriends react? Mel Gibson, 56, is attracted to European women – perhaps because they might not be quite as familiar with his behavior problems and hot temper. His latest companion is a good match for him – she’s a stunt woman currently in training for a black belt in karate. Italian born Ashley Cusate, 38, has only been in Hollywood for five years and she’s already stunt doubled for Jennifer Aniston, Penelope Cruz, and Anne Hathaway, and has built quite a career for herself. She and Mel have been seeing each other for about a month and seemed quite affectionate Sunday at Nobu in Malibu.

Nothing can replace “Sex & The City” but we’re willing to give “The Carrie Diaries” a chance. Candace Bushnell wrote both Sex” and “Diaries” so we’re hoping for the best. “Diaries” is the prequal to “Sex” and starts with Carrie as a senior in high school in the 1980’s and follows her to Brown University and on to New York City as a struggling writer. This series however, is on the CW, and HBO and producer Darren Star are not involved. So it’s a tossup. But we WILL give it a look when it debuts in January. We were amazed when we heard that Kim Kardashian “put herself on the worst dressed list” for an outfit she wore in Miami recently. She rarely admits to fashion mistakes so we thought she might be coming to her senses when it comes to good taste. Imagine our surprise when we learned she was NOT referring to the transparent skirt and buttocks show (left) we called her out on. Kim was not happy with her yellow jacket (right) and lamented that it need someone “taller and thinner“ to pull the style off. Apparently she was fine with the see-through skirt and bra top.

Oprah finally figured out how to get people to watch her hard-to-find OWN network. She’s having another Favorite Things gigantic giveaway show on November 18. Designers Tory Burch and Michael Kors will help her shower audience members with prizes and this time she selected a deserving group to receive the gifts: military spouses from each branch of the armed forces! Riverdale is truly moving into the 21st century. We grew up reading about Archie, Betty, and Veronica, and now they are all embracing the cast from Glee in an upcoming issue. Publishers of the beloved comic want their characters to remain the same through the years but they want Riverdale to move into modern times. A writer from Glee is contributing to the story. Glee cast members Sue, Puck, Brittany, Finn, Rachel and Kurt are featured on the collectible comic cover, which will be on the stands February 27th.

Rumor has it Monica Lewinsky is shopping a sizzling and graphic tell-all about her Clinton relationship to publishers in New York. It’s been 14 years since the sex scandal humiliated Bill and Hillary Clinton and they would be devastated to have the subject brought up again. Reps for Bill are said to have contacted Monica and pleaded with her not to write the book. Monica is 39 and single now, and although she no longer has a handbag business she did earn a masters degree in social psychology. Certainly she could use some extra money. We’re betting she won’t HAVE to write a book and she’ll end up with LOTS of money! If she does Bill a favor and shelves the tell-all, we predict he will be INCREDIBLY generous and make sure she has no money worries….
