Okay. That’s enough. Paula Deen has been “punished” more than sufficiently for her verbal blunder. Now that Wal-Mart has dropped her, we’re starting to feel sorry for the woman. We’ve never been a fan of that kind of cooking, and we were not happy about her concealed diabetes and deal with the drug company. Her accent gets on our nerves. But this is a free country and people say stupid things sometimes. We didn’t like what happened to Mel Gibson (another non-favorite of ours) and Paula is being condemned with the same ferocity. She was WRONG, but a sincere apology should be enough. Get over it and stop being so vindictive.

Every race is racist in one way or another. Paulau stepped over a line but until we can stop punishing people and start to talk about it openenly and frankly we will never heal the rift between the the black race and the white race, not even with all the marriges and biracial children. Here is a true story:
When I was 6 or 7 years old, my mom and I boarded a city bus. It was very crowded and there was one black woman up front taking up two seats. My mom said “Get up and get to the back of the bus”. The black woman did as she was told. Later that evening, I saw mom crying and saying she was sorry for saying that and she wishes she could apologize and that it was very wrong of her to tell the woman to get up and give us her seat. I will never forget this story. This was a dark period in mankind’s history. As for Paula, she is a multi-millionaire. She can live just off her cookbook sales. She should take 2 or 3 years off, spend some of her $$$ and chill out. Enough is enough on this matter of whether she is sincere or not.
