The Situation

YOU HAVEN’T SEE THE LAST OF “THE SITUATION”

Just when it appeared that Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino from Jersey Shore had his last gasp of fame, he got another reality show. Sorrentino cleaned up in more ways than one, while filming Jersey Shore. He raked in tons of money (5 million in 2010) making personal appearances, doing workout videos and endorsements. After boozing it up on the show for several seasons he went to rehab for prescription meds. His new show ”The Sorrentinos,” for TVGN is all about his family – including his mother, sister and two brothers – and their life in New Jersey. So his fifteen minutes are not yet up…

WHEN HE GETS OUT OF REHAB, THE SITUATION DOESN’T WANT YOU JUDGING HIM

Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is apparently in rehab but his reps insist he is merely “at an undisclosed location for rest and recuperation” due to his grueling schedule. The late Elizabeth Taylor is the only person we know of who would check into a hospital when she was tired. Insiders say Mike has a “too much nightlife” cocaine and sleeping pill problem which is exactly what we expected, and explains his odd behavior. (Could steroids be involved in this also?) He probably doesn’t want to admit it because people will be scrutinizing his indulgences when he gets out, but, hey, it IS good for the upcoming sixth season ratings!

FLORENCE, ITALY, IS WARMING UP TO THE JERSEY SHORE CREW

The Situation just can’t get enough attention in Italy, so he wore a t-shirt sure to attract some glances. In spite of the Mayor’s dire warnings, the populace of Florence, Italy, seems fascinated by the American reality stars and follow the Jersey Shore group around like puppies. Every time they walk down the street a huge procession forms behind them. So far they’ve only been seen shopping and eating in the daytime – no nighttime hijinks yet.

NOTHING CAN STOP THE JERSEY SHORE STEAMROLLER OF SUCCESS

Time for a Jersey Shore update. The cast was set to leave for Florence, Italy, on April 18 to tape the next series, but the fact that Snooki, The Situation, and Pauly D had not settled their contracts caused MTV to postpone filming until May. Since Snooki (along with Jenni) and Pauly D have their own 12 episode spin-offs coming to MTV, we have a feeling they will cooperate. But The Situation might be a tad resentful. Rumors that the hotels and bars in Florence aren’t cooperating with MTV’s attempts to arrange for filming are unfortunate. If they only knew how the shore businesses the cast visited have FLOURISHED, they might reconsider. We hear the bars, restaurants, and the t-shirt store are still raking in big bucks thanks to Jersey Shore fame.

THE SITUATION’S PALAZZO NEIGHBORS WEREN’T SORRY TO SEE HIM GO

No one is happier that Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino got booted off “Dancing with the Stars” than his neighbors in The Palazzo apartments. All the contestants are given furnished apartments at the expensive complex near their dance rehearsal studio. Mike was particularly noisy – he kept late hours and had lots of raucous friends visiting just like when he was at Jersey Shore. Loud music was always on the menu. Neighbors were relieved when The Situation left the building.

DANCING WITH THE STARS: THE SITUATION IS A SORE LOSER, BUT HE’LL GET OVER IT

The Situation wasn’t happy when he and his partner Karina Smirnoff were eliminated on “Dancing with the Stars” last night, but he got over it. The Sitch consoled himself by partying at Boudoir lounge in Hollywood and he was seen leaving with this mystery brunette.

IS BRISTOL PALIN CRUSHING ON THE SITUATION?

Our favorite backstage gossip from “Dancing with the Stars” involves Bristol Palin and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. According to The Enquirer, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin got very upset when her daughter started rambling on and on about how “cool” and “smart” the Jersey Shore star is. Bristol, 19, admires how Mike, 29, has managed his show business career, and they both happen to be living in the same apartment complex during the dance competition. She figures she could learn a lot from him. Her mother Sarah, however, fears that Bristol will end up running around with party boy Mike and warned her to stay away.

JERSEY SHORE’S “THE SITUATION” IS INSPIRING DESIGNERS

This shirt with a peekaboo window over the abs was inspired by Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, but it won’t be sold by him. Somebody else thought of it first (thesituationshirt.com.) Mike, who says “I have unbelievable mass appeal” apparently doesn’t have much design talent. The shirts he sells on his site don’t hold a candle to this one.

THE SITUATION ALREADY HAS A T-SHIRT PROMOTING HIS “DANCING WITH THE STARS” GIG

The Situation and Karina Smirnoff hopped over to Koi to eat after their not-so-hot performance on “Dancing With The Stars” Monday night. The usually confident “Jersey Shore” star’s dance was awkward, but not totally humiliating. It could have been a lot worse. He only had five days of rehearsal compared to the other contestants’ weeks of preparation, and he seemed surprised that ballroom dancing is not easy. He’s already wearing a t-shirt that says “Team Sitchoff” – the nickname given to him and Karina.

THE SITUATION AND PAULY D CAN’T WAIT TO CHARGE UP THEIR ELECTRONICS

The Jersey Shore gang packed up their stuff at the end of the third season, picked up their checks from the T-shirt store, and prepared to re-enter the outside world. Being on a paid vacation is great but they have to do it WITHOUT cell phones, or TV, or internet access! As much as they will miss their housemates and all that nightclub creepin,’ they are desperate to get back to civilization and electronics.
