You have to appreciate the delicate way that Jason Momoa announced that he and Lisa Bonet are splitting up. He said their love carries on, but they plan to “free each other.” After 16 years and two children, they are going their separate ways. We remember seeing Jason, Lisa, and her mother at the Rose Bowl flea market early in their relationship. Suddenly we were shoulder to shoulder with one of the most drop-dead gorgeous men we had ever seen and he was SO big we had to BACK UP to take it all in! In those days Jason had no facial hair. J.LO AND ALEX SPLIT: REAL ESTATE TELLS THE STORY

SOMETHING has been going on between Jennifer Lopez and her fiancee Alex Rodriguez for more than a few months. They were happy as clams last August when the couple paid 32.5 million dollars for a 14,000 sq ft Miami mansion with 10 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. And their blended family of four kids (two each) were thrilled also. The children have grown up with each other for the past four years. Unfortunately, in August, the deal fell thru and the house went to someone else. Why did they change their minds? It’s possible that coronavirus isolation contributed the the demise of this fairy-tale romance. Certainly the children are heartbroken- they are going to miss all that fun in the sun together…

WHO FEELS WORSE: BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN OR JASON SUDEIKIS?

It’s NOT easy to decide which jilted man is more distraught since his woman very publicly left him for another guy: Jason Sudeikis or Brian Austin Green. Besides probably being heartbroken, both Brian and Jason have had to endure their exes praising their new mates to the skies! Certainly Brian flinched when his ex Megan Fox described her new love Machine Gun Kelly as an “achingly beautiful boy” and went on to says he was “unusually handsome, ethereal, dangerous, and a creative genius.” She rated Kelly’s SNL appearance as “The best performance that show has ever seen.” Director Olivia Wilde cannot stop raving about HER new leading man Harry Styles, either – she’s astonished by his lack of sexism and praised him for his lack of ego in playing a supporting role in a female led film. She said “He blew us away with his talent and warmth.” Both women seem to be revealing what was LACKING in their previous partners. Ouch, that must hurt.

WE SAW IT FIRST: BEN AFFLECK AND ANA DE ARMAS SPLIT

Readers will recall that we posted this photo of Ana de Armas alone with her dog in New York’s Central Park back in November. The obviously missing element was Ben Affleck. Where WAS he? Ben, 48, and Ana, 32, had been inseparable – quarantining together for most of 2020. They were photographed all summer coming and going from Ben’s home in Brentwood- riding bikes and walking their dogs. Sometimes with Ben’s kids. Both their careers were on hold for the pandemic. When fall arrived, work rules loosened up and opportunities opened up. Ana realized she didn’t want to settle down in California – she had places to go where Ben had already been. Her career is super HOT right now and she needs her freedom. Ben understands and they are both resigned to the inevitable.

BRADLEY COOPER AND IRINA SHAYK: SOME PARENTS GET IT RIGHT

Little Lea Cooper, 4, doesn’t know how lucky she is. For some kids, it’s tragic when their parents split up, but Lea’s parents, model Irina Shayk and actor Bradley Cooper, did it the right way. They separated amicably and share 50/50 custody of Lea. When Irina is working the runway, Bradley takes care of Lea, and when Bradley is filming, Irina is in charge of Lea. Both parents can work without guilt and spend special time with their daughter when they’re free, so Lea has no shortage of parental attention. It also helps that Bradley and Irina maintain their friendship and have even been seen hugging – no bitterness there. Of course, Lea is also fortunate to have inherited her mom’s good looks!

WHAT WE DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT MEGAN FOX’S MARRIAGE

Megan Fox’s marriage could be more problematic than we realized. She and Brian Austin Green have three sons – the oldest is 8 – and all three boys have very long hair and dress like girls. This week Megan took her three boys to a building where the office of a well known gender identity psychologist is located, and they stayed for around two hours. Gender identity is a complicated issue and can be problematic if parents don’t agree on how to address it. Whether this contributed to their split is not known, but certainly a possibility.
