DON’T UNDERESTIMATE MIRA SORVINO

Always one of our favorite actresses, Mira Sorvino was one of the early and brave women who accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual improprieties. Mira won a Best Supporting Oscar for her ditzy character in Woody Allen’s Mighty Aphrodite, but few people realize she is actually very intelligent and educated. She graduated with honors from Harvard and has a degree in East Asian studies. We were so happy for her and Ashley Judd when Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson came out and admitted that Weinstein had said the actresses were “a nightmare to work with” and advised him not to hire them, thus blacklisting them and derailing their careers. Happy ending: While Mira’s acting career waned, she married her dream man and had four children, and now she’s back at work.

INGRID BERGMAN WOULD BE PROUD OF HER GRANDDAUGHTER

Does model Elettra Wiedemann’s face look vaguely familiar to you? This 5’11” international model hit the genetic jackpot. She’s the daughter of Isabella Rossellini (“Blue Velvet”) which makes her granddaughter of “Casablanca” star Ingrid Bergman. As if that weren’t lucky enough, her father, Jon Wiedemann, is a former Calvin Klein model and Harvard graduate turned Microsoft executive. She’s as smart as she is good looking, so Elettra is studying for her masters degree at the London School of Economics and models in her spare time. She is also the face of Lancome – a job her mother Isabella held for fourteen years until 1992.

Gerry Butler -he prefers to be called Gerry – is not just another Colin Farrell. (Not that that’s a bad thing.) He’s just not the party boy he appears to be. He’s 6’2″ but he’s not dumb. Gerry has a law degree from Glasgow University and he doesn’t smoke or drink. He’s a girl magnet and a HUGE flirt and people assume he’s had a few drinks, but that’s not the case. He gave up booze years ago and unlike many other non-drinkers, he DIDN’T lose his personality! And he’s never been married or engaged.
