He arranged an iChat with a personal shopper there who took his order for the entire Givenchy men’s collection of shirts, sweaters, and sweatshirts, along with a new set of Tumi luggage. What he’ll do with all those SHIRTS, remains a mystery…

Melanie Griffith and Eva Longoria shopped together at James Perse in Beverly Hills today. We’d almost forgotten they were friends, but every once in awhile they have a girly lunch and shopping day. A few years ago Eva and her boyfriend joined Melanie and Antonio Banderas on a Paris vacation.

Like Jennifer Lopez, Heidi Klum wants her man to look GOOD so she took him shopping at the cool John Varvatos store in West Hollywood. Heidi’s bodyguard-turned-boyfriend Martin Kristen usually wears jeans and t- shirts or black suits while he’s on duty, but now that he’s squiring fashionable Heidi to fancy places, he needs a better wardrobe. Plus, he gets his picture taken almost as often as she does. It looks like Heidi bought him a suit or jacket and maybe some shoes from the fashion forward shop. It’s interesting that Heidi hosts Project Runway, while John Varvatos appears on the competitive design show Fashion Star.

EVERYBODY is going to Selfridges in London since the PBS TV series put the store back on the map. Among the shoppers: the Kardashians of course. Kris discovered Chanel’s hula hoop purse – it was the most talked about item in the Spring collection. The jumbo version of this beach bag wasn’t expected to make it into stores, but apparently it did. A mini version of the bag is $2500.00 so the big one must be around $20,000. Pocket money for Kris.

Simon Cowell never likes to be more than a few feet from a cigarette because he’s a chain smoker and inhales three packs a day. (To make up for it he stocks up on vitamin supplements and skin creams at Whole Foods.) So it makes sense that when he went to Ralph Lauren and found a small decorative silver plated cigarette holder he liked, that he bought 100 of them. He has several huge houses and each room has a cigarette holder in every corner.
Janice Dickinson was shopping in Brentwood when she came upon a clothing store having a 75% off sale. She gleefully rummaged through the sale racks and spent considerable time trying on clothes, while keeping the salesclerks running back and forth. Another shopper told us that when the smoke cleared, she had piled around $200 worth of sale clothing at the register (quite a bit at that discounted price) and left a mountain of rejects in the dressing room. She slapped a credit card on the counter but it was promptly declined. Other shoppers waited in line while FIVE more of Janice’s cards were declined. Finally she was told she’d have to pay cash, but she didn’t have it. She left the store and they had to hang everything up and put it back.

Shawn King must have cashed in when she caught her husband Larry King fiddling around with her sister Shannon. They ALMOST divorced. Yeah, she forgave him, but now she seems to have unlimited shopping rights! She was seen in Bergdorf Goodman not long ago perusing the fine jewelry counter while Larry obediently sat in a chair dozing. By the time he woke up she had spent over $50,000 on baubles.
We can’t help but envy Bruce Springsteen’s wife Patti Scialfa. According to Mike Walker at The Enquirer, Bruce gave Patti the best Christmas EVER. Bruce hates to shop so he arranged a shopping spree for Patti at her favorite store – Barneys. He set it up ahead of time and had salespeople in every department – shoes, designer clothing, makeup, handbags, etc, pull things her size that she might like. He brought her to the store and told her to take her time and buy EVERYTHING she wanted! She DID and had the time of her life. Now THAT’S a great husband!
