KANYE WEST IN SEARCH OF INSPIRATION IN PARIS

Aspiring designer Kanye West insinuates himself into all the major shows during Fashion Week in Paris, and he makes the most of it by dressing up and looking important. It’s a bit surprising that the designers still roll out the red carpet for him since he was accused of stealing other designers ideas. In particular, he has been criticized for knocking off Rick Owens creations. (Above he’s at the Martin Margiela show in a cashmere coat.)

RIHANNA KICKS IT UP A NOTCH FOR PARIS FASHION WEEK

Rihanna looked absolutely adorable as she arrived at the Lanvin show in Paris. She’d be a great addition to the front row of any show. She’s fearless when it comes to trying now looks. Here she’s wearing a grey suit and fake fur wrap with a fedora. While she’s enjoying Fashion Week, she’s also hanging out with Drake in a big way. They’ve been clubbing and canoodling all over town. Definitely a step UP from Chris Brown…

KIM AND KANYE HAVE PALACES DANCING IN THEIR HEADS

Kim Kardashian just returned from Paris where she and Kanye West dressed up every day and made a big deal out of looking at palaces suitable for their wedding – they were also rumored to be shopping for a palace they could buy for themselves. It was Fashion Week and since Kanye considers himself to be a designer, they mooched their way into as many runway shows as possible. How Kim could go out to lunch in such a tight dress remains a mystery.

Hollywood has always had an affinity for high society so why were we surprised to hear that many actors present their teenage daughters at the ultra-fancy Crillon Debutante Ball in Paris each November? At the charity ball, 25 daughters of prominent international families are presented each year with all the protocol and hifalutin’ manners and designer gowns you can imagine. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Scout and Tallulah Willis have been “presented,” along with the female offspring of Sylvester Stallone, Rosanna Arquette, Andie MacDowell, and Carrie Fisher. Here’s a surprise: next November, notoriously unsocial Larry David will escort his 17 year old daughter Romy to the fancy affair. (Above, Larry and Romy when she was 12)

You can’t help but like Jessica Chastain’s excitement over seeing her own YSL ad in Paris on a huge building. The two time Oscar nominee is in Paris for Fashion Week – she was driving by the Seine River and flipped when she saw her own image several stories high. After a whirlwind week of Paris fashion shows, pregnant Kim arrived at de Gaulle Airport dressed to the nines in white from head to toe. Gareth Pugh’s Paris fashion collection pulled in both Cher and Fergie and the singers bonded during the runway show. They both loved the slightly goth, slightly 70’s, but ultra futuristic designs. Cher immediately tweeted her adoration for the young designer but she couldn’t spell his name. After the show Cher and pregnant Fergie were in such a fashion frenzy that they just HAD to hit a few of Paris’s finest stores together.

We’re starting to think those rumors about Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez having relationship problems are true. Olivier was counting on moving Halle and Nahla to Paris where Halle claimed they would be less harassed by paparazzi, but the judge ruled against it. Olivier has an acting career in Paris and his business contacts and friends are there. He feels disconnected in Hollywood, where he doesn’t have much to do. He’s been visiting Paris alone a lot and leaving Halle home with Nahla. This will be a huge obstacle for the couple to overcome.
