Maria Shriver has no intention of being a single woman in Los Angeles. She’s planning to move to Manhattan in the spring, although she will keep a home on the west coast for frequent visits. Maria has lots of family and job opportunities on the east coast. Her three oldest children are settled into working or going to school here in LA so they will stay, but her youngest son Christopher can choose where he wants to live.
If anybody deserves a statue in New York, it’s Andy Warhol. After all, he’s probably the most important American artist of the 20th century. The city had a life size figure of Andy installed near his factory studio in Union Square and not far from his favorite hang-out Max’s Kansas City. We’re not sure why the artist, Rob Pruitt, chose a chrome finish, but we love the fact that Andy is wearing his camera and holding a full shopping bag. Andy ALWAYS had a shopping bag – he stopped at all the thrift shops on his way to work and collected whatever tickled his fancy.
New York fashion week is even more fascinating this time around because one of the top models in BOTH male and female shows is 6’2” Andrej Pejic. Androgynous Andrej, 19, who was born in Bosnia and grew up in Australia, is booked in four women’s shows and five men’s shows! This makes him the first model to appear in New York fashion shows for BOTH genders. In his private life, Andrej wears both men’s and women’s clothes. He’s not a transgender or a sex change, just a male who can pass for a female supermodel. In the photos above he’s wearing Rihanna’s Grammy dress in the Jean Paul Gaultier Paris show, and also appears in men’s clothing for an English magazine.
Now that Jennifer Aniston has her superfabulous Architectural Digest house completed in Los Angeles, she has turned her attention to New York. Like Barbra Streisand, Jen loves buying and re-doing new properties for herself. (Her pal Courteney Cox flips houses) According to the New York Post’s Jennifer Gould Keil, Jennifer took a long look at an 8.75 million dollar penthouse in the Village. Four years ago the place was priced at 14.5 million and it’s back on the market. It’s a 5 bedroom 4 bath four level penthouse with a keyed elevator and stairs. 17 ft ceilings, a real fireplace and a landscaped roof garden add to the charm. Jennifer’s thinking it over.
“Gossip Girl’s” Blake Lively looks like a million bucks in New York on her way to a ceremony to unveil the star on the top of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. We’re guessing the Gossip Girl stylists put her expensive look together because she always looks best when they do. Producers want all eyes upon her when she’s representing the show.

Somebody PLEASE remind Kim and Kourtney Kardashian that they are in New York now and people don’t walk around the city in paper flip flops in November. It’s COLD! And it’s dirty! The Kardashian sisters are accustomed to strolling around Beverly Hills after their mani-pedis, airing out their feet, and it’s just not done in Manhattan. New York girls wait for their nails to dry and put their boots back on.

The onetime object of Michael Jackson’s affection, Macaulay Culkin, seems to be spending most of his time in New York now. (As you may recall, Macaulay DID defend Michael during molestation charges.) At one time it was believed that Mac was the real father of Michael’s kids, but they don’t seem to look like him. As far as we know, Culkin and his girlfriend Mila Kunis are still an item after 8 years. Mac still struggles with his career, but supposedly has a movie coming out next year called “Service Man.” Can you believe he’s 30 already?
Fresh from her wrestling triumph in Florida, Jenni “JWoww” Farley is in a good mood as she leaves her hotel in New York. She’s even starting to look a little more like a New York career girl than a guidette. Every day must be filled with fabulous surprises and opportunities for the Jersey Shore cast.

The whining Kardashian sisters Kim and Khloe visited Spring Street in Soho, where they’re planning to open their new DASH retail store and E! cameras followed, so naturally a crowd gathered. We wouldn’t be surprised if E! is financing this shop for them. The question is: will New Yorkers take to their sexed-up, flashy styles? Soho has always been one of the hippest shopping areas in the city, so it remains to be seen. Both sisters are carrying big Hermes bags, so of course they have bodyguards. Perhaps to please the cameras, the girls stopped at an ice cream truck for triple cones with sprinkles.
