Simon Cowell is still making himself available on the beach in Miami and it’s funny because his two little dogs are not as friendly to paparazzi as their owner is. The two feisty pups started nipping at a photographer and had him doing quite a dance in the sand.(Are dogs ALLOWED on the beach there?) He got a few nips on the ankle but Simon pulled the dogs off and made sure the guy got some photos. No lawsuits were threatened.

Michael B Jordan looks remarkably composed for an actor who’s been unjustly shut out of all the award shows. His movie “Fruitvale Station” has, for some reason, been totally ignored by Hollywood and HE should have been included in Best Actor nominations. Lack of promotion seemed to doom this excellent film. Jordan is in Miami where he’s been promoting his latest movie “That Awkward Moment” with his costars Zac Efron and Miles Teller.

When he bought the homes he was a playboy leading “La Vida Loca.” Now that he has a serious boyfriend, Carlos Gonzalez, and a set of three year old twin boys, he’s thinking in more practical terms. Like what’s best for Valentino and Matteo. (Every time we see as long staircase like that we think of the tragic story of the little California boy who slid down the banister and cracked his head on the marble floor.) His huge Miami Beach “Mediterranean” house was once on the market for 19.8 million and he finally sold it for 10.6. The family is now living in New York where Ricky is starring as Che in “Evita” on Broadway.

Sometimes it’s nice to take a break from celebrities and look at an animal photo. This is a twelve pound baby pygmy hippo born in the Miami zoo. At least in the zoo, these animals don’t get slaughtered by poachers like they do in the Congo. Apparently pygmy hippos are rare compared to the big river hippos and the zoo is very excited. You don’t often get to see a hippo the size of a Prada bag.

SNOOKI KNOWS THAT HAVING FUN IS THE BEST REVENGE

Snooki and JWoww strolled around Miami Beach, sipping Red Bull and checking out the guys. JWoww knows Snooki can use some cheering up – she was more upset by her split with her muscular boyfriend Emilio Masella than she let on. She had arranged to have him appear a few times on “Jersey Shore” and get paid $1000 per appearance. But that wasn’t enough, he used her name to open OTHER doors (he really wanted to be a TV star) and eventually she decided he was just a user. Now she’s vowed to be more suspicious.
