MADONNA IS WEARING HER DIAMOND GRILL AND PLATFORM BOOTS AND DOESN’T CARE WHAT YOU THINK

Madonna has a new mission: to end ageism. And women everywhere should back her up on this. Madonna is 56 and she endures horrible insults because of the way she dresses. She says she has no intention of changing her style because she’s no longer in her 20’s. While it’s not socially acceptable to discriminate against gays or blacks, somehow it has become okay to criticize women’s looks and choices as they get older. Not men, just women. “It’s still a sexist society.” She’s right.

WE AGREE WITH ANDY COHEN: STOP PICKING ON MADONNA!

We were delighted to see that Bravo’s Andy Cohen agrees with us on the subject of Madonna and her choices. Why Madonna brings out the WORST in the online haters is a mystery. We LOVE that Madonna has the courage NOT to dress like everyone else on red carpets. Andy also enjoys her originality in a sea of celebrities who are afraid to be different. Most unpleasant are the WOMEN who pick on Madonna for being “too old” to wear this or do that. Hey, lighten up. She’s a popstar and has a great body, why not play it to the hilt? As Andy says “She’s Madonna. Let her keep being Madonna. Don’t take that away.”

Haters Madonna Taylor Swift

TAYLOR SWIFT: NO GRAMMYS, BUT STILL A WINNER

Online haters seem to pick on Taylor Swift every chance they get, and we can’t figure out why. She’s got looks, talent, style, good manners, and phenomenal success. She’s not crass or vulgar, doesn’t badmouth people, and keeps her clothes on. In other words, she doesn’t embarrass her parents. So why is she a target for so many negative comments? By the way, we loved Taylor’s excitement because Madonna said nice things about her and her thrill at actually meeting her idol.

YOU WON’T CATCH MADONNA WEARING A BORING EVENING GOWN

Thank heavens for Madonna’s sense of humor. She was the only major celebrity to really dress up in a rock n roll inspired costume at The Grammys. Everyone else seemed to think it was a very formal and conservative red carpet and they wore traditional long gowns and cocktail dresses. Did they FORGET it’s all about the music and anything goes? Looks like Madonna was a little bit S&M and a little bit bullfighter in this naughty get-up. (We can imagine Lourdes in her dorm at the University of Michigan watching her mother on the Grammys)

MADONNA DIDN’T THINK IT COULD HAPPEN TO HER

Madonna and her daughter Mercy, who’s getting very TALL, arrived at JFK International Airport in New York. Madonna’s still smarting from the shocking leak of 13 unfinished demos from her next album. She declared it was a form of terrorism and her personal computer might have been hacked. She said “It’s one thing if someone comes to your house and steals an object – that’s a violation – but, your WORK, as an artist, that’s devastating.” (It’s not that easy to feel sorry for her, is it?)

Auction Desperately Seeking Susan Jacket Julien's Auctions Madonna

WERE YOU OUTBID FOR MADONNA’S “DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN” JACKET?

Julien’s Auctions was inumdated by Madonna fans and collectors this weekend when they had their Rock n’ Roll charity auction in Beverly Hills. Madonna’s clothing and memorabilia outsold all the other rockstars – from Elvis to Michael Jackson. The wedding gown she wore to marry Sean Penn sold for $81,250. but her jacket from 1985’s “Desperately Seeking Susan” trumped everything by going for $252,000! Disapponted bidders might be happy to know that replicas of that jacket are currently available online for an affordable price – $165.

LOURDES LEON IS ALREADY HOT STUFF ON CAMPUS

Madonna’s daughter Lourdes, 18, goes by the name Lola Leon at the University of Michigan where she studies music, theater, and dance. She tries to live just like the other students. Lola shares a freshman dorm room and bunk beds with another student (Imagine being assigned a room with Madonna’s daughter!) and often eats pizza at the canteen with her friends. A source described her as sociable and polite, but quieter than one might expect. Of course she’s really pretty and stylish, and has created quite a stir with the guys on campus. Lola will never be short of dates.

MADONNA HAS THE COLLEGE SPIRIT WITH FRESHMAN LOURDES

Madonna claims to have briefly attended classes at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor before she took off for New York and eventual stardom. She seems delighted that Lourdes chose to have the experience of attending the University of Michigan instead of a fancy private college. Students were thrilled to see Madonna and Lourdes on campus this week and also in Lourdes’s freshman dorm. (Can you imagine her living in a dorm?) Madonna and Lourdes were also seen eating at a local café near the campus. We’re betting that Lourdes, who is majoring in music and dance, will last longer than her mother.

MADONNA: VACATION’S OVER, BACK TO SCHOOL

Madonna looks exhausted at JFK upon returning from a long European vacation. She’s wearing comfy black fur slippers and a big blue scarf to hide behind. Her kids Rocco, David, and Mercy are right behind her. Lourdes returned early because she’s starting college at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and she has to get settled. She’s studying music, theater, and dance, and Lourdes is bound to have some fun times there. It’s good for her to get out of New York.

THIS IS HOW MADONNA DRESSES FOR A DAY AT THE BEACH

It looks like Madonna doesn’t believe in sunscreen because she’d rather cover herself from head to toe in clothing on a hot day than spray on the sunblock. How she manages to swim fully dressed will be interesting. She’s been vacationing in Ibiza, Spain for the past week and will not leave with a speck of tan. It IS an odd place to vacation if you avoid the sun…
