HUGH JACKMAN IS LEARNING A LOT ABOUT HIS KIDS

The only redeeming feature about pandemic isolation for Hugh Jackman is the fact that he is getting to know his (adopted) kids a lot better. But he IS worried about their education – his son Oscar, 19, just started college. Hugh is also wondering if New York is a safe place for his family to live. When Oscar expressed a desire to meet his biological family about a year ago, Hugh arranged a visit to Iowa. Oscar’s father was unknown and his mother died, but he met his two sisters and aunt, and seemed very happy about it. Having Wolverine for a father has its advantages.

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO HAVE WOLVERINE FOR A DAD

Hugh Jackman seems to have a close relationship with his 14 year old daughter Ava, who’s wearing her pajama bottoms here. Through the years we’ve watched Ava gradually grow up in photos of them chatting and walking the same two dogs in their New York neighborhood. Note they are both masked, although NY streets are nearly deserted. Ava has banned her dad from watching her dance class perform – the last time he attended, the girls got way too excited and mobbed him in the audience. Even movie stars can embarrass their kids…

HERE’S A CELEBRITY WIFE WITH A SENSE OF ADVENTURE

How often do you see the wife of one of the most successful actors in Hollywood riding an electric scooter on a freezing cold day in New York? Deborra-Lee Furness is married to the very athletic Hugh Jackman, so we imagine she likes to keep up with him, activity-wise. Actress Deborra must be one of those very outdoorsy Australian women because she didn’t hesitate attach her phone for navigation and ride a scooter to her destination in Manhattan. (Of course she’s a mother of two and didn’t forget her safety helmet.)

ONCE UPON A TIME, THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER LOVED CATCHING POLITICIANS UP TO NO GOOD

In The Front Runner, Hugh Jackman nails the role of the idealistic presidential hopeful Gary Hart, who, in 1987, had droves of devoted youthful supporters and was predicted to win the 1988 election. Hart was outraged when reporters sniffed out a potential scandal and started digging into his private life. They found evidence of cheating with a young woman from Miami, Donna Rice. Before this, politicians had been “protected” – newspaper editors avoided scandal. But more women in the newsrooms and technology changed that old boys club.
Hart arrogantly refused to answer questions about adultery and fearing the worst, he dropped out of running. Here’s where the movie was a huge disappointment: People were a bit unsure about his guilt UNTIL The National Enquirer published the famous cover photo above. THAT ended Hart’s career, but there was NO mention in the film! The tabloid should get credit for this public service! Too bad The Enquirer is not interested in personal accountability for politicians TODAY…

HUGH JACKMAN HAS A WEAKNESS FOR DOGS

Hugh Jackman has no qualms about carrying his adorable dog Allegra on his way to work. He and Allegra left his West Village apartment on his way to Broadway where Hugh is performing in a creepy sounding play, “The River.” It’s about a guy who brings a woman to his remote cabin so they can fish and “get to know each other.” (Hugh actually cleans and prepares a fish for cooking onstage every night.) The script features lots of surprises. Allegra keeps him company in his dressing room before and after.

It’s consoling to see that “WolverineHugh Jackman is as big a sap for his dogs as the rest of us dog-lovers. Hugh has often been photographed walking his French Bulldog Dali in New York, and this year he added another member to the family, which consists of his wife Deborra and son Oscar, 14, and daughter Ava, 9. Hugh wanted a little canine pal for Dali and brought home a fuzzy puppy (maybe a poodle/terrier?) that he named Allegra. Now when he’s not onstage performing in “The River” on Broadway, Hugh is posting photos and videos of his beloved pets.

DOES HUGH JACKMAN LEAD A DOUBLE LIFE?

Every few months the subject of Hugh Jackman’s sexuality comes up again. 60 Minutes Australia asked him how he felt about those gay rumors and his response was the same . No one really knows if Hugh leads a double life – with a wife and kids in New York and a handsome business partner in Los Angeles. Jackman has a number of houses in the world and could easily pull it off. The fact that his wife Deborra-Lee Furness is 13 years older, his kids adopted, and he has a penchant for singing and dancing on Broadway, keep the rumors swirling. Funny – nobody asks him if he’s bisexual.

HUGH JACKMAN’S WIFE DIDN’T DENY GAY RUMORS

Hugh Jackman’s wife chatted about her husband and gay rumors and definitely didn’t do a thing to squelch the speculation. Wolverine star Hugh Jackman has long been rumored to have some sort of agreement with his 13 years older wife Deborra-Lee Furness in which he can do whatever he wants on his own, but they have 2 adopted children (whom Hugh adores) and a normal home life together. Jackman’s singing and dancing on Broadway intensified the gay rumors. Instead of insisting that her husband is not gay, Mrs Jackman responded “It’s tragic that people have nothing better to do than gossip about people they don’t know.” (That’s US!) Gay or straight, we still like Hugh! (Above, the Jackmans and their dog Peaches)

WOULD YOU LOOK TWICE AT HIS GUY?

Here’s a well known actor who can walk down the street – especially in the winter- and not be recognized! He actually seems sincere about not courting attention. Of course, there’s always a chance someone will recognize his DOG. Hugh Jackman enjoys anonymity with his family in New York.

Wolverine has a soft spot for puppies. “X-Men” star Hugh Jackman took his two month old French bulldog, Peaches, for a walk in chilly New York. Peaches wore a little sweater and Hugh actually carried the puppy most of the time, carefully putting her down whenever they encountered the occasional tree with a little patch of dirt, and picking her up after she did her business.
