JENNY MCCARTHY WAS WELL TAKEN CARE OF BY HER EX JIM CARREY

No more sharing swimsuits for Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey. It’s over. But as we told you last summer, he didn’t leave her in the lurch. Jim bought Jenny and her little boy Evan a FIVE MILLION dollar house in Beverly Hills so they can always feel secure. That calculates to about a million dollars for each year they spent together. STAR magazine claims that Jim’s bouts of depression led to the split and certainly his moods have always been a challenge. At least he’s not a cheapskate.

House Real Estate Tom Hanks

THIS IS WHAT TOM HANKS GOT FOR 26 MILLION DOLLARS?

We’ve been told this is a photo of the 26 million dollar house that Tom Hanks bought and we have to admit we’re more than a little disappointed. The Architecture from this angle seems pedestrian at best, and not at all inviting. The pool area is flat and dull with no relief from the sun. The landscaping is far from lush and there seems to be no shaded outside area for entertaining. Imagine a three story house this size with only four bedrooms! We have to say the outside of the house, which is very important in California, doesn’t live up to the astronomical price. (Click on photo to enlarge)

AT LEAST CASEY JOHNSON DIDN’T DIE IN SQUALOR

The deluge of information about Casey Johnson’s tragic death left some pertinent questions unanswered: If she was too poor to pay her utility bills, how could a MAID have discovered her body? If she had no water or lights, how could she get dressed up and go out to clubs at night? Her living conditions were described as filthy and neglected “like Grey Gardens“ but the house pictured above where her body was discovered is immaculate. If she couldn’t pay utility bills, how could she pay her rent? We investigated and were enlightened by a friendly neighbor. He clarified the following: Casey often stayed at the GUEST HOUSE of the multimillion dollar West Hollywood house pictured above. The owner was a friend of her parents. Probably she went there to escape a ramshackle abode elsewhere. Especially if bill collectors were after her. The maid belonged to the expensive main house’s owner and the property and pool are kept in pristine condition. At least Casey didn’t die under horrible conditions. Right now there’s a security guard sitting in a car in front of this house.

BRAD PITT EXPECTS TO MAKE A HEFTY REAL ESTATE PROFIT

It must be great to be Brad Pitt’s real estate agent. Now he’s put his ocean view Malibu home with walls of glass, on the market. It’s the house Brad moved into after he and Jennifer split up. He never spent much time there because he started globe trotting with Angelina. Brad seems to be oblivious to the real estate market crash – he’s asking 18 million for the place and he paid 8.41 million for it in 2005.

BRAD AND ANGELINA ARE READY FOR ANYTHING

We just had to get a closer look at the Sassafras Estate – that’s the Lloyd Neck, Long Island, mansion that Brad and Angelina are leasing. It looks old, but the 22,000 sq ft house was actually built in 1987, and has the ultimate in high tech luxury. The eight bedroom house sits on 48 acres and the staff quarters features 12 bedrooms (for all those security guards.) The house is compared to “living in your own resort.” There’s a helicopter pad, a barber shop, and an underground tunnel to the front yard. We’re thinking that the fallout shelter (with bath included) is what appealed to Brad – years ago, he had a shelter dug at his Santa Barbara home. This house was one of the ten most expensive houses in America when it was built.

Jennifer Garner is well aware of her husband Ben Affleck’s predilections. He loves to gamble – and poker is his passion. She doesn’t particularly want him wandering off to play in poker tournaments or weekending in Las Vegas. So she’s decided to indulge Ben’s hobby by turning a spare room in their new Brentwood home (still under construction) into a playroom for Ben and his buddies. Ben’s new poker room will resemble the casino at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas. Soon Ben won’t have to fly to Las Vegas to play poker- he can just walk downstairs.

Britney Spears recently put up for sale at 7.9 million is in a gated community, but many precautions are being taken to keep out the looky-loos. At a recent open house strictly for real estate agents, every agent had to produce a photo I.D., AND sign a confidentiality agreement! Not only were cameras banned, but cell phones too. We were surprised to learn the place is being sold furnished and the decor couldn’t look LESS like it belongs to a young pop star. It looks more like a grandma’s house. Would YOU buy the furniture?

DID THE JONAS BROTHERS FORGET ABOUT "LOCATION" WHEN THEY BOUGHT A HOUSE?

You get a lot for $2,895,000 in Texas. The Jonas brothers bought this 7360 square foot compound on a golf course with no neighbors in sight. The catch is: IT’S IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE! A lovely place to retire, but why would three energetic teenage boys want to live there? It’s 35 miles of unlit roads to Dallas where there might be something to do. These guys have long outgrown the ‘burbs. We bet the place will be back on the market in two years.
