BOBBY BROWN’S SHOW MUST GO ON, DESPITE WIFE’S “SEIZURE”

The fact that his wife Alicia Etheridge was hospitalized after having a seizure doesn’t bode well for Bobby Brown’s recovery. Despite her hospitalization, Bobby performed that same night with The New Edition at a Florida resort. (He obviously wasn’t too worried.) Keep in mind, just a few days ago, he checked out of rehab himself after only three weeks of treatment. In spite of his apparent alcoholism (DUI included) Alicia married Bobby ten weeks ago. Since seizures often indicate substance abuse, it looks like Bobby has another problematic wife. His ex-wife Whitney Houston famously died from a drug overdose. People seem to keep marrying the same person, don’t they?

In 2OOO, actor Gary Dourdan, now 45, landed a role on the new series CSI and his future couldn’t have been brighter. But in 2008 his contract was mysteriously not renewed on the hit show, and there were rumors of “personal problems.” Certainly he can be a scary guy – he’s been charged with battery against girlfriends more than once. After he left the show he was arrested several times for drug possession. Now he’s filing suit against Wells Fargo Bank, hoping to stop repossession of his Venice home because he hasn’t made payments. And it’s the second time this year that he has sued a bank for the same situation. A sad story, but evidently drugs have not been kind to the once successful actor.

Most disturbing news of the day is the fact that Lindsay Lohan’s whacked out substance abusing father Michael has impregnated his equally hopped up girlfriend/sparring partner Kate Majors. When they’re not beating each other up and calling the cops, they’re having seizures and checking in and out of rehab. Both have long rap sheets. Kate has been arrested several times for disorderly intoxication and had a restraining order against Michael when he got her pregnant. Kate, who was fired from Star magazine for taking up with Jon Gosselin, has no visible means of support except selling personal photos and info to tabloids. Michael is a deadbeat dad who can’t support his other kids. Maybe Kate figures she can sell stories about her BABY. It’s a revolting situation because they’re both hopelessly unfit to be parents.

The death of Sage Stallone, 36, (probably an accidental drug overdose) is a tragic story but conflicting reports at this time are puzzling, indeed. It’s unclear whether he lived in a house or apartment in Studio City, but he may have been dead for a week before his body was found. TMZ reports that Sage lived a Howard Hughes life and barricaded himself in his bedroom. His room was reportedly filthy – littered with beer and soda cans, cigarette butts, old food and an awful smell. He had a number of bottles full of pills. Yet, he had a housekeeper who was forbidden to enter his room when she cleaned his place. Sage had become a director and producer and had two movie companies, but is said to have run into financial problems recently. A source told the New York Post he wouldn’t ask his father for money. Sage’s lawyer insists that he was in good spirits, working on all kinds of projects, and planning on getting MARRIED! One report said that Sage’s mom sent the housekeeper to check on him and found the body, another source says his girlfriend found him. We don’t know WHAT to believe, but we feel very bad for his family.

His drug and alcohol abuse landed him in many awkward situations including jail, and his battle with crack and heroin broke up his band Babyshambles. He used to be sexy when he was young but now he looks puffy and debauched in this photo from Cannes It’s not pretty when you’re 33 and over the hill.

Russell Brand got all dressed up in his rockstar apparel for a meeting with the House of Commons Home Affairs Committee in London. He gave his views on government drug policy and cited his experience – he was a heroin addict arrested 12 times. He has since cleaned up by using abstinence based recovery. Brand stressed the importance of treating drug addiction as an illness rather than a crime. He urged government to rehabilitate addicts rather than imprison them.

Regarding, Demi Moore and her daughter Rumer, in this case the MOTHER proved to be the first one to lose control. Will Rumer end up in rehab too? As for Whitney Houston and Bobbi Kristina, the fallout from that lethal mother-daughter relationship has yet to be seen…

DON’T BLAME BOBBY BROWN FOR WHITNEY’S DRUG PROBLEM

It’s easy to point the finger at Bobby Brown and blame him for ruining Whitney Houston’s life by introducing her to drugs. Granted, Whitney was a nice, well brought up girl when she met Bobby, but everyone assumed she was also gay. She and her live-in assistant Robyn Crawford were inseparable until Whitney met Bobby at the Soul Train Awards in 1989. Bobby had left New Edition and was only 20, while Whitney was almost six years older. He was loads of fun and had started experimenting with drugs. Whitney was immediately smitten and she enthusiastically joined him dabbling with drugs too. As the romance heated up so did their drug abuse. But Whitney was always the boss – she was in charge. They were spectacularly happy together for years, but the drugs took their toll. Public scenes of brawling and cursing became common and Whitney lost her good girl image. When they divorced in 2007, her fans hoped that with the “bad influence” of Bobby gone, she would clean up. It didn’t happen.

The Enquirer got it right: Whitney Houston appeared on the cover this week and she was described as “hitting rock bottom.” She reportedly was on the verge of bankruptcy and collapsed after leaving a Beverly Hills doctor’s office last week. The next night she was out partying with her occasional companion Ray J. Singer Ray J (He made his fortune from that notorious sex video with Kim Kardashian) has been accused of abusing drugs himself and he always seemed to enjoy the attention he got from photographers when he was in the company of Whitney a little too much. The Enquirer predicted correctly “Whitney is playing Russian roulette with her life.” And her distraught daughter (they checked into rehab TOGETHER last year) Bobbi Kristina is the real victim.

MILEY CYRUS IS EVEN DUMBER THAN SHE LOOKS

Miley Cyrus, 19, just seems to get dumber every day. First came the stripper pole and lap dances, then photographs of her smoking what is obviously marijuana and her lame denials. Then a photograph of her vulgarly posed with a penis cake. On Facebook she recently defended her pal Demi Moore by scolding the tabloids for assuming that Demi is “on drugs” when “not everyone in Hollywood is ON DRUGS!” Coincidentally or not, Demi, 49, and her daughter Rumer were partying with Miley at her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth’s birthday party just 9 days before Demi collapsed and both were guzzling Red Bull. Imagine know-it-all Miley denying that Demi uses drugs when it’s an established fact, and she’s already entered rehab! Lying comes easy to Miley since she left the Disney fold. Our advice Miley: get an education!
