AGAINST ALL ODDS, CHARLIE SHEEN AND HIS NEW TEETH ARE BACK!

Like most people, we thought the highest paid actor on TV, Charlie Sheen, had pretty much destroyed his acting career when he was fired from “Two and a Half Men” last year. His coke and hooker scandal, public meltdown, and feud with the show’s producers seemed like the last nail in his coffin. When he made a deal to star on another series- Anger Management – for a lot less money, we doubted it would never come to fruition. But now we actually think it might work! Smart producers are basing the character on real-life Charlie (which made Two and a Half Men successful.) His character is a former baseball player turned anger therapist who treats people at his home in the San Fernando Valley. He’s often more messed up than his goofy assortment of patients. Writers promise the show will be even edgier than “Men” and if they are half as good as “Men’s” clever writers, Charlie has another hit on his hands. Charlie Sheen has NOT fallen back into his old hard-partying ways. Yet. At the height of his indulgence, Charlie thought nothing of hitting he streets in his pajamas. But today he wore a bathrobe in LA because he’s filming a Direct TV commercial in which he ends up in a jacuzzi. (And we’ll bet he’s not alone.) Nice work if you can get it. In spite of his occasional manic episodes, Charlie continues to get work, and he’s currently casting his new Anger Management series. Last year we thought his career might be over- but you never know…

Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife Brooke Mueller is still in residential rehab for alcohol and crack cocaine, but she hasn’t given up her dream of appearing on Dr Drew’s Celebrity Rehab. She loves the show and wants to be famous. She started negotiating financially with the show before she was forced into her current rehab, but she still wants to do it, and plans to figure out a way to make it happen when the timing is right.

WHO DOES BROOKE MUELLER THINK SHE’S KIDDING?

Here we go again. Brooke Mueller wants us to believe that she checked into residential rehab “for as long as it takes” voluntarily. In fact she fully intended to continue the ruse of outpatient treatment at home but her family finally stepped up to the plate and told her they would have NOTHING further to do with her if she refused to check into an in-patient drug treatment center. Brooke depends on her mother to help care for her twins and she didn’t want Charlie to have full custody of the boys. After numerous drug arrests and well over a dozen rehab attempts, it remains to be seen whether Brooke will devote the nine months necessary for her rehabilitation. We doubt it.

EVEN CHARLIE SHEEN COULDN’T SAVE THIS EMMY YAWN

Did anyone else think this was the most boring Emmy show in memory? It was devoid of humor and glamour and burdened with too many uninteresting awards – and winners. Groups of middle aged men in tuxes thanking their agents doesn’t hold our attention for long. The only potential highlight was the appearance of Charlie Sheen and he did look great, but he was awfully polite. It’s painfully obvious that he regrets his meltdown tirade and would love to have his job back, because he’s as close to groveling as one can get. But even Charlie couldn’t save the dismal show. It needs more fun, fun, fun!

LAST MINUTE EMMY SHAKE-UP THANKS TO CHARLIE SHEEN AND ALEC BALDWIN

According to Deadline.com, The Emmys on Fox tonight are in a last minute uproar over Charlie Sheen and Alec Baldwin. Charlie’s arch-enemy, producer Chuck Lorre, doesn’t want Charlie on the show at all, and Alec has already walked off. Alec taped a joke about News Corp’s Rupert Murdoch and the phone hacking scandal for the opening, but Fox nixed the joke – Rupert is their BOSS! What did Alec expect? It’s a very sore subject with Murdoch. (We happen to love and support tabloid journalism – reporters may go too far sometimes, but basically do more good than harm.) Chuck Lorre has pulled every string in the book to get Charlie banned from the show, but the Emmy people still want him to participate – although he may not be given an open mike or opportunity to crack any jokes. Hopefully the drama will liven up a potentially dull evening.

DENISE RICHARDS DIDN’T WANT TO BE A PAWN IN THE WAR BETWEEN CHARLIE SHEEN AND CHUCK LORRE

Denise Richards is smarter than she looks. We were startled to hear that she was invited to appear on the first episode of this season’s “Two and a Half Men” with Ashton Kutcher. Certainly she can use the money and exposure for her lagging career. But we give her credit for instantly recognizing it was not a generous gesture on the part of producer Chuck Lorre, but simply one-up-man-ship. It would have been a huge slap in Charlie Sheen’s face if Denise had accepted the role. Denise doesn’t want to erode relations with the father of her children so she regretfully turned down the opportunity.

CHARLIE SHEEN NEEDS MONEY AND HE NEEDS IT NOW

Charlie Sheen is scheming to make money as soon as possible. He’s cash poor and has a huge nut to crack every month what with mortgages, child support, alimony, legal fees, etc– it goes on and on. He’s suing Warner Brothers because they stopped his residuals. His new series “Anger Management” might work out in the future but he needs money NOW. Bottom line is, he’s been reduced to negotiating to star on Celebrity Big Brother in the UK. He’d be, by far, the biggest American celebrity to appear on the show and expects the biggest paycheck. But will they give in to his demands?

Charlie Sheen Chuck Lorre Emmys Revenge Two And A Half Men

CHUCK LORRE’S FINAL REVENGE ON CHARLIE SHEEN: NO EMMY FOR “TWO AND A HALF MEN”

Producer Chuck Lorre denied himself and his cast and crew the opportunity of winning an Emmy for Best Comedy for “Two and a Half Men” this year because he did NOT submit his incredibly popular show for consideration. The production staff made excuses citing the “circumstances of the past season” which translates to Charlie Sheen’s meltdown. However, our source tells us the REAL reason Lorre didn’t submit the show is because if it won, Charlie Sheen COULD have gotten up on the stage with Lorre and the cast to accept the award and that would have KILLED Chuck. Who knows if Sheen would have, but Chuck Lorre seems to have cut off his nose to spite his face.

Ashton Kutcher Charlie Sheen Plot Two And A Half Men

“TWO AND A HALF MEN” PRODUCER PLANS A FIERY DEATH FOR CHARLIE SHEEN

“Two and a Half Men” fans are wondering how Charlie Sheen’s character will disappear and how Ashton Kutcher will fit into the series next season. UK writer Andrew Morton insists that he has inside information. Morton says that it’s likely that Charlie’s character will be killed off in a spectacular car crash when his Mercedes flies off a cliff near his Malibu home. After Charlie’s funeral, his beach house will be put up for sale. Ashton Kutcher will enter the show’s plot line by buying the home. He’ll take pity on Charlie’s broke brother Alan, played by Jon Cryer, and his son Jake, and let them continue to live there. Sounds plausible.
