HER TALK SHOW IS CANCELED AND RICKI LAKE COULDN’T BE HAPPIER!

#rickilake #janetcharlton
Ricki Lake’s wish was granted Monday – her talk show was CANCELED! Ricki has been very unhappy with her show – the ratings stagnated and she felt the content was beneath her. After having a hit talk show aimed at young people from 1993 to 2004, Ricki expected her new show to have more substance and A- list celebrity interviews like Katie Couric’s show. When Ricki returned from Christmas vacation she actually told the audience she DREADED coming back to work and disliked her show! Her unhappiness showed in her attitude and she made staffers miserable. Today when the show was canceled, jobless staffers were in tears but Ricki was fine with it. Kris Jenner’s talk show will move right into Ricki’s space.

JERSEY SHORE: THE CANCELATION WAS OVERDUE

#jerseyshore #janetcharlton

Let’s face it, Jersey Shore should have ended at least two years ago. We happened to like the show, but it has been forced and awkward for the last few seasons. Youthful exuberance and endless partying makes sense for eighteen to twenty three year olds (the spring break crowd) but after that age, life takes over and parents are no longer supporting their kids. After the first few seasons, the Jersey Shore cast was so famous they needed bodyguards to hold back fans and they could no longer interact with strangers at clubs with resulting shenanigans. The show REALLY jumped the shark when The Situation went to rehab and gave up drinking and Snooki got pregnant. Personally, we would like to have seen the gang visit a far-away place like Japan or Malaysia each season and experience the culture shock.

HBO CANCELED “LUCK” BECAUSE OF THE RATINGS, NOT THE DEAD HORSES

HBO and Luck producers make themselves look like HEROES with incredible respect for animals by canceling the series after a third horse’s accidental death. But is that really the reason they shut the show down? Luck suffered disappointing ratings from its debut and never really caught on as HBO hoped it would. They hastily renewed the show anyway, and began filming the 2nd season quickly while the racetrack location was available. We think they were already feeling regrets when the third horse was injured and had to be euthanized and the negative publicity started spreading, further jeopardizing viewership. They had a meeting and decided the timing was perfect to cut their losses on the ailing show and look like heroes, not failures.
