We’re still reeling from Britney Spears’ performance at the VMA’s. From here she looked like she was in a daze, barely connecting with the other dancers or audience. (Too many lollipops?) Her plain outfit looked two sizes too small and gave her a stuffed sausage look. When male dancers lifted her she seemed like dead weight. Did she bother to sing AT ALL? We never saw her lips move with the music. Even more embarrassing than her awkward dancing were the looks on the faces of celebrities in the audience. They could barely contain their shock and pity. We wonder if Criss Angel backed out at the last minute.

The entire MTV show was annoying and terrible. What happened to MUSIC television? It used to have quality – now it is a bunch of generic loosers rapping incessantly and it is NOT MTV but BET with their worst artists. That Rihanna is a yawner and the performance by Chris Brown was really stupid… BUT… let me get to my FAVORITE part… BRITNEY. Who the hell LET her wear that outfit when she clearly was not fit enough to pull it off? She sucked and was exactly how I expected her to be. She has never been talented – even back in her “good” days… but personally, I think she really does NOT want this life any more. How can anyone believe that MTV suddenly told her to change the Criss Angel tricks, or that she was “upset” about Sarah S.’s jokes–BEFORE she told them??! She totally SUCKED, all on her own. I’ve read that Brit knew about Silverman’s monologue prior to her performance. I would have totally backed out, left MTV hanging!

Britney is not over people. She is just having her Whitney Houston/Natalie Cole meltdown. Of course, we are not sure that Whitney will get her crap together but Natalie Cole made a big comeback after defeating a drug addiction. the show reflected the truth about MTV and the whole music industry. It’s sucked ever since Kurt Cobain offed himself. Just a buncha non-musical whores who happen to be young and photogenic. Wow Man – You mention Whitney Houston and Natalie Cole–those ladies have real talent. Britney doesn’t even come close. She is what she is–a pop tart. She used to be able to entertain by wiggling her way through a song. She can’t even do that anymore.
