Looks like Jennifer Lopez decided it was time for Alex Rodriguez to upgrade his wardrobe for the new year. She’s wearing a long Tom Ford letter sweater with “Guccy” written on the back, and took Alex to Ford’s Rodeo Drive store. She picked out several sweaters and pants for him to try on and he modeled them for her. All of them looked better than the outfit he wore in, and Jennifer selected her favorites. Every time we see an unposed photo of Mark Wahlberg, 46, he has that scowly worried expression – probably left over from when he was a tough rapper. He took his sons Brendan, 9, and Michael, 11, last minute shopping on Rodeo Drive for gifts for their mother Rhea Durham on Christmas Eve. (Shame on you, Mark!) Rock stars get overwhelmed in Bed, Bath, & Beyond too! Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea have a list of necessities (including a teapot) and they’re on the hunt. Believe it or not, they are high school sweethearts who’ve been married for 28 years and have four kids. Unusual for a rocker. Dorothea, who runs their Soul Kitchen charities, says the fact that she always goes on tour with Jon has held the marriage together. We think the fact that they still SHOP together helps too .

SHARON OSBOURNE HAS SHOPPING EUPHORIA AT BARNEYS

No wonder Sharon Osbourne looks happy – she just cleaned out our favorite store in Beverly Hills – Barneys New York. Most people think long and hard before investing in Barney’s pricey stuff, but Sharon just says “Wrap it up!” Ozzy used to gripe about her free spending but since she started making lots of her own money, he doesn’t complain. In fact he jokes that “My wife is the patron saint of shopping – she deserves a statue on Rodeo Drive.” Above, Sharon bought so much at Barneys she needed help getting all the shopping bags into her car.

BRAD PITT SHOWED HIS KIDS THE JOY OF A HARDWARE STORE

Brad Pitt has always struck us as a very normal midwestern guy with few pretentions. Naturally a guy like that enjoys doing ordinary things – like browsing in the local hardware store. The Pitt family just settled into a huge 8 bedroom rented home in the UK in Surrey, and Brad must have some do it yourself projects to take care of. He visited the English version of Home Depot (called B&Q) to pick up some items with two of his kids. A few store employees spotted him in his newsboy cap and one posted a blurry photo on Twitter. Another remarked that his kids were very polite. No surprise there.

HARRISON FORD IS FOCUSED ON GIVING CALISTA WHAT SHE WANTS

Star Wars hero Harrison Ford isn’t too big a star to pick out Christmas gifts for his wife Calista Flockhart himself. Most actors would send an assistant to do their shopping, but Harrison braved the Christmas crowds today to pick out some loungewear for Calista at a shop called Roberta Roller Rabbit at the Brentwood Country Mart. The store specializes in apparel and home goods made from hand printed India cotton. He made his selection and left as quickly as possible.

MISCHA BARTON SHOPS THE RON HERMAN 75% OFF SALE

Mischa Barton has supposedly been struggling with money problems and her weight, but she looks quite happy shopping at the Ron Herman 75% off sale with her little dog Ziggy. The pair stopped at Mauro’s Café where Mischa had a glass of wine and took some food home. She has a movie with the creepy title of “Hoarders” coming out this year – it’s described as “a psychological horror thriller.” We don’t know if that diet product she was selling called Proactol XS really works, but she DOES look slimmer.
