IS KHLOE KARDASHIAN TRYING TOO HARD?

The 34 year old Kardashian youngest sister already looks like she’s been around the block too many times. Why? Apparently she hasn’t yet figured out that basketball players don’t make the best husbands or boyfriends. (They ARE tall, though.) Her marriage to Lamar Odom was a blazing failure and her baby-daddy Tristan Thompson has two roving eyes. What’s a girl to do? What NOT to do is leave the house looking like THIS – too much of EVERYTHING- hair, makeup, (even her knees are made up) cleavage, and general glitz. Khloe was on the prowl at Diana Ross’s birthday party.

Church Kanye West Make up North West

NORTH WEST IS READY FOR HER SELFIE

Kanye West’s Sunday “church services” are becoming quite a social event for the family and invited celebrities. The weekly events are held outdoors in Calabasas and consist of Kanye and his musical friends (Kid Cudi etc) singing gospel songs and songs converted to gospel, accompanied by a full choir. It’s not a particularly religious event and most likely the purpose it to create excitement for an upcoming gospel inspired Kanye West album. This week’s highlight was North West, 5, in a cocktail dress with feathers and a full face of Kardashian makeup…

Bella Thorne is only 20 and she grew up in Florida, so you have to cut her some slack, but her personal offscreen style is dreadful. Bella looks great on film – she’s a natural beauty and the Hollywood pros know how to dress her and go easy on the makeup. On her own time she lays the face paint on with a trowel, and makes herself look much older. She longs to be cool but ends up dressing overtly sexy and looks far from hip – just tacky. THIS is what she wore to promote her new movie I Still See You.

Lighting Make up Oceans 8

OCEANS 8: NO WONDER THEY NEEDED 34 MAKEUP ARTISTS

We know for sure that Oceans 8 is a slam-dunk to get at least 2 Oscar nominations – not for acting, but for makeup and lighting. Not one of the leading women in this film appears to be A DAY over 35! Everyone LOOKS miraculous! That’s not to say the acting isn’t fun – the assembled assortment of women is delightful. Too bad the script was so obviously written by men – the female leads often one-upped each other with smart-ass lines that egotistical men would use – all that was missing was cigars. So the female characters weren’t well drawn and the story seemed too familiar, but the movie IS fun to watch – the Met Gala is an eye-popping setting and we love all the female leads. Satisfying summer movie…

In the past, Caitlyn Jenner attended GQ’s Man of the Year party as a male – and now she’s a female guest. She’s looking good – the lighter hair is flattering and she must have hired a sensible makeup artist who believes that less is more – her makeup is not so Kardashian. We imagine she struggles to find women’s clothes that fit her 6’4” fame – shopping is not easy at that height. She looks attractive and together, except she still tends to stand like a man with legs far apart…

DON’T CHA WISH YOUR GIRLFRIEND WAS HOT LIKE NICOLE SCHERZINGER?

Why isn’t Nicole Scherzinger, 39, a big star? Not only is Nicole drop dead beautiful, but she can sing AND dance better than almost anybody else. Back when she was a Pussycat Doll, Nicole had a #1 hit “Don’t Cha” that put the girl group on the map. After the Dolls broke up, she was expected to become a Beyonce-like star on her own. But it didn’t happen. She easily won on the tenth season of Dancing With The Stars, but ended up moving to the UK because her music had more success there. Why she’s not appearing in a big Broadway musical or movie is a mystery to us. We DO wish she would ignore the dreadful “Kardashian Influence” and stop wearing SO much makeup – she’s a natural beauty.

Someday Chloe Moretz, 20, will look at this photo and say “What was I thinking?” She darted across a parking lot and dodged paparazzi explaining that she had no make-up on! HELLO – she’s 20 and that face is flawless! Maybe she’s a little sad because her romance with Brooklyn Beckham didn’t work out and he’s already moved on. Chloe has a big movie coming out this year – Suspiria with Dakota Johnson and Tilda Swinton. It’s a remake of a 70’s Italian classic horror film about a young American girl who travels to a prestigious dance academy in Europe with a sinister history – and bad things happen. We’re already afraid of Tilda Swinton….

Indie actress Greta Gerwig (Maggie’s Plan) is an cute and natural looking woman who seems younger than her 33 years. When she turns up at red carpet events she usually looks off-beat and interesting, but not particularly glamorous. Maybe a crazed makeup artist got his hands on her face, or she decided to experiment with new eye shadow. Bad idea. She looks YEARS older and her messy hair and unflattering droopy dress don’t help her at all. Greta deserves better.

Just a few weeks ago Alicia Keys vowed to stop wearing make-up in public because she was spending too much time fretting about her looks. And she braved the red carpet at the VMA’s with her natural face! We had almost forgotten how attractive a clean face can be! It’s a great lesson for young girls who’ve been heavily influenced by the Kardashians and other female celebrities who seem to be 99% fake. Tons of makeup and shading, plastic surgery, hair extensions, eyelash extensions – it’s become the norm. Even in broad daylight on the beach or at the gym! WOULD YOU BUY MAKEUP FROM CAITLYN JENNER?

Not that she isn’t attractive, but we were DUMFOUNDED when TMZ revealed that ambitious Caitlyn Jenner is considering marketing a makeup collection under her name! Apparently she was impressed by her daughter Kylie’s success at selling her lip color. Of course, Kylie’s customers are her teenage girl-fans, but WHO are Caitlyn’s followers? (Caitlyn is not exactly Cindy Crawford) Will Caitlyn’s collection be aimed at mature women? Or will her target customers be other trans-women? There appears to be a limited market here and the whole idea seems incredibly unrealistic and ego-driven. What’s next – a fashion collection for “tall gals?”
