MARK WAHLBERG PLANS TO ELEVATE HIS NEW CHURCH

Mark Wahlberg is planning some major renovations… to his church! Mark, his wife and kids relocated from Beverly Hills to Las Vegas late last year (those California taxes!) and while he’s enjoying his new life in Sin City he misses his former Beverly Hills church. Mark was a devout parishioner of Church of the Good Shepherd, a Spanish revival style Catholic church built in 1923. The church he now attends in Vegas is newer and lacks the vintage charm and character of his former one. An insider says that Mark has privately offered to foot the bill to transform the Vegas church into something more opulent, with ornate wood carvings, marble statues and antique chandeliers.

Cancer Christian Scientist Church Val Kilmer

VAL KILMER: THE CHURCH CAN DO NO WRONG

We haven’t watched the new Amazon Prime documentary Val because, frankly, it seemed like it might be depressing. Through the years we’ve watched Val Kilmer obviously suffering and hiding from the fact that he had cancer. He denied he was sick, but every time we saw him he looked worse. Back in 2015 he had a big lump in his throat and was apparently diagnosed at that time. Since he was a devoted Christian Scientist, he arranged for a “spiritual advisor” from the church to pray away his malady with him. When he didn’t appear to be improving, his two children, Mercedes and Jack, (from his marriage to Joanne Whalley) BEGGED him to seek traditional medical treatment. Eventually he relented and DID have surgery, radiation, and chemo, but would it have been more successful if he had done it sooner? Val survived but he was left suffering with a feeding tube (he cannot eat) and a tracheotomy tube. Val still insists that praying is what healed him and it was the medical treatment that left him to suffer with the tubes…

Church Kanye West Taxes

KANYE WEST DELIVERS HIS RAP IN GOSPEL FORM

His energy level is over the moon lately as Kanye West continues to crank out operas and conduct massive church services in cities across the country. His bragging about being “the greatest artist that God ever created” does make one wonder about his mental health. Kanye continues to earn shocking amounts of money from his footwear and apparel (more than from his music) – he calls himself a billionaire. He also owns lots of property, so we can’t help wondering if his new friendship with prosperous televangelist Joel Osteen has SOMETHING to do with the fact that churches don’t pay taxes…(and they SHOULD!)

Busted Church Kanye West Police

KANYE WEST “CHURCH” SERVICES BUSTED BY COPS!

Looks like some of Kanye West’s Calabasas neighbors aren’t crazy about gospel music, because they called the cops Sunday, complaining that it was too LOUD! Kanye’s invitation only “church” services are held outdoors and a very large choir accompanies the musicians. Maybe the choir just got TOO BIG, but when police arrived to ask them to turn down the volume, the celebrities couldn’t get away fast enough – Chris Rock and his daughters, Courtney Love, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, Rick Rubin etc scooted to their cars. Do you suppose they pass a collection plate around during these services?

Church Kanye West Make up North West

NORTH WEST IS READY FOR HER SELFIE

Kanye West’s Sunday “church services” are becoming quite a social event for the family and invited celebrities. The weekly events are held outdoors in Calabasas and consist of Kanye and his musical friends (Kid Cudi etc) singing gospel songs and songs converted to gospel, accompanied by a full choir. It’s not a particularly religious event and most likely the purpose it to create excitement for an upcoming gospel inspired Kanye West album. This week’s highlight was North West, 5, in a cocktail dress with feathers and a full face of Kardashian makeup…

BEN AFFLECK IS DOING THE RIGHT THING FOR JENNIFER GARNER

Ben Affleck is going the extra mile to be a good dad by taking his kids to church on Sunday. He considers himself a “lapsed Protestant” and not very religious, but his estranged wife Jennifer Garner is a believer and wants their kids to have religious education. Jennifer usually takes the kids to church every Sunday, but this week she’s in Colorado for the premier of her new movie Wakefield. Ben’s level of cooperation implies that he and Jennifer ARE gradually getting back together.

BRUCE JENNER’S IDEA OF DRESSING UP IS WEARING LIP GLOSS TO CHURCH

Bruce Jennier is making SOME sort of a statement here. He was photographed leaving his community church in Westlake by himself. Why he doesn’t bother to dress a little better for church is a mystery- he’s certainly a celebrity. It IS significant that he is not joining his estranged wife Kris at the Life Change Community Church that she co-founded in Agoura Hills. The Kardashians raise money for their church by selling their used clothes on eBay. Besides looking sloppy, Bruce is reportedly wearing lip gloss here. Not a good way to squash those sex-change rumors.

Nothing is more irritating than a celebrity charity scandal – and they are ALL TOO common! You may recall, not long ago, Kim Kardashian put a boatload of clothes for sale on eBay when Kanye cleaned out her closet. She called it a “charity auction.” But according to RadarOnline, the fine print revealed that only 10% of the proceeds went to charity – and THAT was the Life Change Community Church that her mother Kris Jenner founded! Kim pocketed $180,000 from the charity sale and her mother’s “church” got $20,000. Since “churches” like Scientology, don’t pay taxes, all KINDS of tax funny business could be going on there.

KOBE BRYANT IS BUILDING A CHURCH FOR HIS WONDERFUL WIFE VANESSA

His estranged wife Vanessa already has Kobe Bryant’s three houses, but he’s not stopping there. He still wants to reconcile despite his indiscretions, so he is giving Vanessa A CHURCH. She’s very Catholic and attends Our Lady Queen of Angels parish in Corona Del Mar every Sunday, usually dragging Kobe along. He knows how to impress her, so Kobe donated MILLIONS of dollars so a whole new church can be built IN HER NAME. Sounds like a ticket to heaven.

KIM KARDASHIAN IS TRYING TO WIN BACK HER FANS WITH RELIGION

Kim Kardashian continues to try everything to make you like her. Her attempts to show her “charitable“ side came under question when everything she did – at the downtown mission or in Haiti – was photographed, and she was in full makeup. It turns out her charitable eBay store that sells her used glamorous apparel only donates 10 % of the proceeds to charity – the rest goes into her pocket. Kim has bragged that she donates 10 % of her vast income to “the church,” but it’s the Life Change Community Church in Calabasas, founded by her mother. On Sunday she tweeted that she was on her way to church – to make sure photographers caught the special event.
