Whoever designed the costumes for Demi Lovato to wear on tour with Nick Jonas seems to be sabotaging her career. She’s a pretty girl but her skimpy high cut leotards and thigh boots couldn’t be less flattering. Is it Tthe Kardashian Effect that pushes women to reveal more and more flesh? Demi doesn’t need to sex it up to THAT extent – she can SING.

When it comes to fashion, Salma Hayek should be at the head of the pack since she’s married to a French fashion mogul with connections galore. But she took a few shaky steps backward and nearly fell on her face in this get-up. The Victorian inspired dress is designed by Gucci and comes heavily embellished with all the pearl frippery at the neckline. Tiny Salma is trying to balance out the mid-calf dress by wearing sky-high 8 inch heels, also by Gucci. Didn’t anyone tell Salma that being unable to walk without assistance is no longer in style? (Mariah Carey didn’t get the message either.) Modern women don’t like to be helpless.

Skin should not be orange. Maybe Britney Spears has been in Las Vegas too long and she’s caught that strange affliction called too much fake tanning. A lot of performers there suffer from the same compulsion, but it looks out of place in Los Angeles. Britney was compared to “Tan Mom” at the Billboard Awards. She did win an award, but it wasn’t for her appearance.

Look, we love Alyssa Milano as much as anyone else. She was adorable on both “Who’s The Boss?” and “Charmed,” BUT she has no business being host and judge on Project Runway because she knows ZIP about fashion. At least the former host, Heidi Klum, has an intimate knowledge of style and designers from her long career as a model. And Heidi always presents herself well. When we hear Alyssa put down an aspiring designer on the show, it HURTS because she doesn’t really know what she’s talking about. She wore the pink dress, above, to promote the show and she looks matronly and dowdy. Unfortunately, this is about as good as it gets with Alyssa. She is no style expert.

Iggy Azalea hit some of the shops in Paris before returning to the ritzy George V Hotel. We can’t help but wonder WHAT WAS SHE THINKING when she put on a fur lined overcoat, shades, and SANDALS in the dreary forty-something degree French weather? SO L.A. It’s get-ups like this that give people from California (she lives here now) a bad name. At least a ditzy name. Iggy was invited to several designer shows, including Viktor & Rolf, during Fashion Week and we sincerely hoped she upgraded her footwear for the events.

Gwyneth Paltrow turned up at the Chanel Spring/Summer couture show at Paris Fashion Week in this matronly two piece suit. Karl Lagerfeld MUST have given it to her to wear to the event and she couldn’t say no. We can’t IMAGINE Gwyneth picking this out for herself. The square cut and stiff fabric along with the box pleated long skirt make Gwyneth look around 20 pounds heavier and when she sees these photos we bet she will privately vow NOT to take Lagerfeld’s advice all the time.

Let’s hear it for Kim Kardashian, who is consistently the Worst Dressed celebrity in Hollywood. Can you IMAGINE attending a civilized black tie affair at the LACMA museum sponsored by Gucci, mingling with decent people, wearing this atrocious see-thru lacy bodysuit at eight months pregnant? Not only is this vulgar get-up revealing far too much flesh, but in every photo was saw from the event, Kim was holding onto her belly in a most unflattering way. Keep in mind, her husband Kanye West considers himself an “artist” and fashion designer, and HE let her go out of the house looking like this!

This photo of Gwyneth Paltrow was taken as she walked out of a Beverly Hills beauty salon and we HOPE her hairdresser gave her some unsolicited fashion advice: “CULOTTES ARE NOT FLATTERING TO ANYONE.” Gwyneth is considered to be one of the classic beauties of our time, but put her in a pair of low slung culottes and she looks dumpy and shapeless. Imagine how they look on an average person.

This is how Billy Bob Thornton, 60, (Angelina Jolie’s ex) dressed for his movie premier at the Chinese Theater. Is he having a mid-life crisis? Probably not – he’s always been an off-beat character with a knack for acting. He plays a buttoned up political consultant in Our Brand Is Crisis but the real Billy Bob wants us to know he’s a cool guy. He explained that he hates to get dressed up and figures “it doesn’t matter anyway.“ That didn’t stop his special effects technician wife, Connie Angland, from putting on a nice black dress.
