ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER WANTS HIS OLD LIFE BACK

Arnold Schwarzenegger hasn’t changed his habits all that much since the housekeeper’s baby scandal broke up his marriage. He and his son Patrick spent time shopping in Barneys and had lunch upstairs. He left alone and went to Giuseppe Franco for a haircut and they had coffee at Caffe Roma. Afterward Arnold and his male companion drove down to Ralph Lauren where he enjoyed more retail therapy. Typical Saturday. Arnold had hoped to ditch the bodyguards when he left office, but found that he still needs at least one.

She ran down to the lobby, followed by scantily attired Michael, and made a huge screaming scene, attracting a lot of attention from the tabloids. Michael declared himself a “sex addict” and sought treatment. Indeed, stories about him bedding leading ladies and extras in every movie he made were rampant. It took him awhile, but he survived the scandal, was forgiven, and continued making successful movies. Life goes on.

THE WINNER HERE IS ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER’S HOUSEKEEPER

This is the house that Arnold Schwarzenegger generously bought for his “retiring” housekeeper Mildred Patricia Baena, according to the realtor who made the deal. The $268,000 Bakersfield home has 4 bedrooms 2 baths and a nice yard and pool. Baena,50, has not been home since Monday when the scandal broke so she’s missing all the fun. (We bet some news outlet has bought her story and hid her in a fancy hotel until they get the scoop.) The street is packed with reporters and TV crews and the neighbors can’t stop talking. Many gleefully mention Baena’s son’s resemblance to Arnold. As we recall, Marlon Brando had the same kind of relationship with his housekeeper but we don’t think he was married at the time.

LOVE CHILD SCANDAL: NO WONDER ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER GAVE UP HIS POLITICAL ASPIRATIONS

The floodgates have opened and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s “girlfriends” will probably be scrambling to sell their stories – similar to the Tiger Woods scandal. Quiet girls will decide to talk now because there is no marriage to break up – it‘s already ruptured, and they might as well pick up a few bucks while they can. One thing is certain – Arnold made a public confession about his love-child with an employee because some news agency was about to reveal the story and he had to beat them to it. His admission of guilt and humiliation was a welcome change from the usual irate denials. Sadly, Maria was all too familiar with Arnold’s cheating BEFORE she married him, but felt she could change him. The whole situation certainly explains Arnold’s sudden lack of interest in politics and his desire to go back to movie making.

THE SCHWARZENEGGERS IN HAPPIER DAYS

The announced separation of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver after 25 years of marriage came as a shock to everyone. They seemed like such an enduring couple. The fact that Maria left their home and moved into a hotel makes it apparent that SHE is the unhappy one desiring separation. Living with Arnold must be a challenge – he is supremely self-confident and can’t understand anyone else who isn’t. But he has plenty of good qualities – a sense of humor, business smarts, and he’s a happy immigrant who loves this country and credits it for his success. Arnold and Maria symbolized the possibility of two political opposites compromising. Yet, we sense the rupture had nothing to do with politics. (Above, in this thirtysomething year old photo, Arnold appears to be turning on the charm for young Maria.)

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER IS STILL A HERO IN GRAZ, AUSTRIA

Former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger flew to Idaho to take a look at a larger than life sculpture of himself in the height of his bodybuilding days. Artist Ralph Crawford wanted Arnold’s approval before it’s cast from clay to bronze and shipped to Arnold’s hometown in Graz, Austria. Arnold asked for only a few minor changes before he signed off on the statue. It will be planted in the front yard of Arnold’s childhood home, which has been turned into a museum by fans there. Arnold remains Graz’s most famous local boy who made good.

Arnold Schwarzenegger enjoys walking around without those bodyguards that accompanied him everywhere up until yesterday, but there’s a downside. On Monday Arnold gave up his job as Governor of California and on Tuesday he got a parking ticket in Beverly Hills. He retrieved the ticket without comment.

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER’S SON PATRICK IS A BUDDING ICON

Arnold Schwarzenegger and his son Patrick, 17, and several other family members went to a farmer’s market near Pacific Palisades. Patrick plays basketball and football at his high school where he’s a very popular fellow. He and a buddy hosted a wild house party in November and the cops broke it up and nabbed a few kids for underage drinking, but not Patrick. Not only is Patrick popular with his classmates, but ever since a shirtless photo of him circulated on the internet, he’s become an icon on gay websites.

Soon to be ex-Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger was having lunch with some buddies at Barneys and one guy teased him about having a bodyguard standing at a discreet distance. Arnold laughed and admitted he was thrilled because once he has finished being governor he can finally get rid of the bodyguard. He said he doesn’t need the guy and anyway “I’m tougher than he is!”

ALL EYES WERE ON AMERICAN IDOL’S RYAN SEACREST AT THE LAKERS GAME

Well-groomed Ryan Seacrest was rather full of himself at the last Lakers game. He was seated courtside and surrounded by some of Hollywood biggest celebrities- Eddie Murphy, Sylvester Stallone, Dustin Hoffman, Jack Nicholson, and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, but fans only had eyes for the American Idol host. They climbed over the famous actors to get to Ryan, and mobbed him asking for autographs and photos! Ryan the Big Shot stood up and started bossing everyone around “One at a time!” – “Let’s form a line over here!” while the movie stars watched. American Idol RULES.
