The Expendables 2 premiered in Paris and Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger both brought family members along to keep them company on the European tour. Arnold is still getting over his separation from Maria Shriver and Sly tragically lost his son Sage just last month. Arnold took his daughter Katherine shopping at Cartier and Sly and his daughters Sistine and Scarlet visited a few shops along with mom Jennifer.

TOTAL RECALL IS HIGHLY FORGETTABLE

Colin Farrell is great to look at, but the new Total Recall remake can’t hold a candle to the 1990 original. The first version featured a fascinating futuristic society with novel inventions and gimmicks galore. We remember seeing Arnold‘s character watching a flat screen TV at home and realizing we would have one someday. The new version has Colin and his wife living in a murky, dismal, wet underground slum. (So dark it might as well have been 3D) Sharon Stone was unforgettable as the traitorous wife in the original and what a SHOCK when Arnold killed her! Colin Farrell never managed to get rid of his wife Kate Beckinsale and she kept popping up to assault him over and over. (Why is it so hard to swallow skinny model types as hired killers?) We couldn’t figure out WHY Kate’s character was unkillable until we realized her husband directed the movie and enlarged her role to costar. Numbed by cartoonish stunts and violence, we could barely locate the plot. Another lame remake…

HEY ARNOLD, TIME FOR A TALK WITH YOUR HAIRDRESSER

We don’t know who to blame for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s new look, but we don’t like it. Arnold is sporting a grey beard in contrast with his obviously dyed brown hair. We’re thinking it’s time for his hairdresser Giuseppe Franco to step up and tell Arnold this is not a natural look. A man his age should have some grey in his hair. Franco told us the beard is for a movie Arnold is doing – so fortunately, it’s not permanent. If he ends up being single, Arnold will want to look his best. He was photographed having lunch with his handsome son Patrick.

IS THE WORLD READY FOR A “TWINS” SEQUAL TWENTY FIVE YEARS LATER?

Will Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito still be funny as “Twins” twenty-five years later? According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal wants to do a sequal called “Triplets.” The twins will discover that they have a third laboratory conceived sibling played by Eddie Murphy. Arnold and Danny have both agreed to reprise their roles, and Eddie is surprisingly up for the idea, but the catch is the studio is still looking for comedy writers to develop the story. Funny, we didn’t realize that “Twins” was THAT a big hit back in 1988. Keep in mind “21 Jump Street” sounded like a bad idea too, and it’s actually quite palatable – but the stars aren’t the same.

Arnold Schwarzenegger never leaves his hair salon in Beverly Hills without attracting an assortment of followers, some of whom he attracted while grabbing his usual lunch at Caffe Roma next door. The funny thing is, he has his arm in a sling (after shoulder surgery) and a cigar in his mouth as he prepares to drive himself home. But with one hand on the wheel, how is he going to hold the cigar?

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been quietly spoiling his estranged wife Maria in hopes of improving the divorce situation. He spends a lot of time shopping at Neiman Marcus and has expensive gifts- mostly designer accessories – delivered to her. Among the surprises was a diamond Cartier watch. (Hmmm…wonder if this dog is in training to become Arnold’s new bodyguard.)

It’s the first day of Patrick Schwarzenegger’s summer job and his father came to visit. Arnold is at The Grove, shaking the hand of Rick Caruso, the developer of the popular shopping mall. Rick hired Arnold’s teenage son Patrick as an intern in his office for the summer. Presumably Patrick will absorb some business know-how. It’s nice to see a rich kid working in summer even if daddy pulled some strings. Patrick is dressed up in his work clothes wearing a nametag that simply says “Patrick S.”

It’s estimated that publishing offers will exceed fifteen million dollars because her failed marriage is so fascinating. Even though the public is dying to hear her side of the story, and Maria is certainly angry with her estranged husband Arnold Schwarzenegger, she has four good reasons NOT to vent: Katherine, Christina, Patrick, and Christopher, her children. She just wants the drama and the divorce to be OVER as quietly as possible so she can proceed with her life.

Katherine Schwarzenegger met her father Arnold for lunch at his favorite hangout, Caffe Roma in Beverly Hills. The disgraced former governor is making a point of spending time with each of his children individually to heal their ruptured relationship. Katherine, the oldest, is a communications major at USC, and she‘s already written an inspiring book for teens called “Rock What You’ve Got.” This girl really inherited the best of both parents.
