It turns out two highly newsworthy celebrities happened to go to high school together. Chaz Bono and Jennifer Aniston. This photo was taken in 1987 in the locker room at New York’s High School of Performing Arts. We doubt that Jennifer was ever a “mean girl” so maybe the two were friends at that time.

We cannot figure out why Pippa Middleton (above) and her sister Kate are criticized because they recycle their clothes and wear them more than once – sometimes over and over. What’s more, they shop at affordable stores! Certainly they are photographed as much as the Kardashians, who are never seen in the same outfit or wearing the same shoes twice. The Kardashians sell their costly cast-offs on eBay and since they get most of the clothes free, they make a nice profit. Another reason to admire the Middleton sisters.
This morning we were greeted with the TV image of Ann Curry, whom we love, On the Today show interviewing Iranian dictator Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and she was wearing a HEAD SCARF! Our blood started to boil. The somewhat soft content of the interview that was described as “too kind” – pointing out how hard the man works- was NOTHING compared to the humiliating and demeaning fact that Ann was forced to dress like a second class female citizen in that country. She is an American and should NOT have to bend to Muslim rituals while interviewing the preening Hitler of the Middle East. It was an insult to women everywhere. What would Gloria Steinem think? Please Anne, don’t put yourself in an inferior position like this again. You should receive equal treatment in an interview.

Redmond O’Neal just can’t get it right. The last judge he saw warned him that if he didn’t clean up in his current rehab, he’d be sent to state prison for his accumulated felonies. This week someone sneaked drugs to him in rehab and he flunked a drug test. He’s expected to be back in front of the judge this week and the outcome won’t be good. But nothing could be worse than his last mug shot. This sunken, aging face belongs to a privileged 26 year old kid with two good looking parents. Look what he’s done to himself.

Hold everything! That strut down the catwalk might have landed Kirstie Alley a new boyfriend! She’s in New York keeping company with this younger guy and she’s being very mysterious about their relationship. (She calls him her boyfriend with a wink.) Either he’s her new boytoy or he’s just a pal going along for the ride. Does anybody know who this fellow is?
Kirstie Alley’s dream came true! She got to walk in a Fashion Week show in New York! Designer Zang Toi was smart to include Kirstie in his show because women her size and age love her and notice what she wears. The royal blue gown is striking, but tastefully covered up – the fitted waist is flattering and the full skirt disguises imperfections. Kirstie’s exotic makeup and hair made her feel like a real model.
Justin Bieber’s recent admission that he wears women’s jeans is NOT NEWS to our readers! Back in February we revealed Justin’s penchant for shopping in the girls department for jeans and t-shirts. He thinks nothing of it. If you have a 26 inch waist like he does, It’s probably easier to find interesting clothes made for females. And he’s getting more style conscious all the time. He says “They fit me- whatever works, works.”
2010 was not a bad year financially for ALL of us. We were surprised and delighted to learn that Tyler Perry was the highest paid man in the entertainment industry that year, earning 130 million dollars! Prolific Perry has several TV shows on the air and he wrote, directed, produced, and starred in three movies last year. He may also be the hardest working man in show business. Imagine – according to Forbes.com – he even topped Steven Spielberg at 107 million dollars, Simon Cowell at 90 million, and Dr Phil at 80 million.
West Hollywood gays were fascinated to see Grant Show from the original Melrose Place, bar-hopping in Boy’s Town. “He was alone with a gaggle of gay friends, acting single and hugging his buddies” an eyewitness reported. “He started out at the Saint Felix and then he went to the Mother Lode where he played video games with a blonde surfer type guy who looked like a male Heather Locklear.” Naturally, Grant was the talk of the town – especially since he is divorcing his wife. Who knows? Of course, the blonde guy might simply be his assistant.
