Lady Gaga wore yet another outrageous gown for a photo shoot in Central Park and she towered over everyone – including the hot dog cart. She picked up a hot dog from the vendor and had to decide how to eat it. She finally plopped down on the ground so she could concentrate on her food. Note the crazy stilt-like shoe poking out. Fortunately, she had plenty of people to help her get up.
Jennifer Aniston got some bad news this weekend – her mother Nancy Dow, 75, had a stroke and was hospitalized in serious condition. Jen’s boyfriend Justin Theroux immediately drove her to the hospital and waited patiently outside. This is particularly upsetting for Jennifer because she refused to have anything to do with her mother for 12 years. Jennifer was infuriated when Nancy gave a TV interview and talked about Jen in 1996, and stopped speaking to her mom. Later Nancy wrote a book about their relationship and she didn’t get an invitation to Jen’s wedding to Brad Pitt. Brad constantly tried to talk Jen into forgiving her mother, but they didn’t reconcile until 2008. Now that her mother is so ill and unable to speak, Jen feels awful about the estrangement and the time together they lost.
When Jersey Shore has finally run it’s course, Snooki and Jenni JWoww will debut their new spin-off series- scheduled for 2012. The girls had become fast friends and were planning to move in together and maybe even buy an house, so naturally MTV said “Let’s film it.” Our MTV source says that Snooki is a phenomenon because “success doesn’t change her – she is who she is.” The pilot has the two roommates “just being themselves” and our insider has described them as “the new Laverne & Shirley,” (IF you can imagine Laverne and Shirley fighting and cursing and having indiscriminate sex.)
We’ve been wondering what Leonard Cohen has been up to since he rescheduled his European tour from March to this September because of a back injury. He’s 76, (Imagine that! We have a crush on a 76 year old man!) but it looks like he’s healthy enough to continue that tour. We were so jealous when a spy saw him shopping at our local Ralph’s supermarket on 3rd street. Leonard shopped alone, wearing a sport jacket and hat, and when he carried his groceries back to his car, our spy noted that the license plate read: IMURMAN.

What happens when two celebrities eye each other on the street? Hopefully they acknowledge one another with a wink or a nod, at least. Ethan Hawke and his wife Ryan were strolling in New York with their two daughters Clementine and Indiana when they turned a corner in Soho and ran into Mickey Rourke. Mickey was hanging out, having a smoke with some buddies, and Ethan greeted him with enthusiasm (nice.) Ethan starred in one of our favorite movies “Before The Devil Know You’re Dead” and not long after it came out, Mickey’s “The Wrestler” was released. So it makes sense that they’d admire each other’s work.

Victoria Beckham was SO relieved when her back healed up enough to allow her to wear high heels during Fashion Week in New York.THAT was a close call! She has a lot of appearances lined up in the city during the next few days, but she couldn’t resist taking time out to introduce her little girl Harper to the Prada store on 5th Avenue. Harper doesn’t seem to like the photographers as much as mommy does.
Vampire Diaries werewolf – and major hunk- Michael Trevino, 26, is still hot n’ heavy with Glee star Jenna Ushkowitz, 25. They’ve been together since at least January, but stay out of the limelight with their relationship. On Saturday they shared a late morning-after breakfast at Quality Food & Beverage in LA. The couple sipped coffee and nibbled on the restaurant’s amazing biscuits and raspberry jam, looking “very content” according to a witness.
Surely Leonardo DiCaprio wasn’t surprised when he was mistaken for a thief in that jewelry store in Sydney, Australia. A lot of the time he LOOKS like a potential thief. Anybody running a jewelry store would be freaked out if two burly guys (bodyguards) followed by a furtive man covered up in a hoodie and sunglasses walked in. Most guys covered up in hoodies are up to no good, as President Obama is well aware. Time to push the silent alarm. Luckily, Leo took off his glasses and revealed his sweet face before there was a problem and it was endearing to hear that he picked out a necklace for his mother.
Everybody makes mistakes. Teri Hatcher might have had a lapse of judgment back in 1993 when she filmed the movie “Brain Smasher” with Andrew Dice Clay. According to The Enquirer, Clay is now in the process of trying to sell his life story to publishers and he delights in telling about a fling he had with Teri when they costarred as lovers in the B movie. Teri can’t believe she EVER went out with Andrew Dice Clay and hoped the mistake was long forgotten, but it’s come back to haunt her. Clay, 53 still thinks Teri, 46, is hot and he’s proud of their history together. Plus, it might help him sell his book.
Lady Gaga aims to please. She’s certainly one of the hardest working performers we know of and deserves to have some fun of her own. She and her on-again off-again boyfriend Luc Carl split this summer and she hasn’t been seen in the company of any guys until now. Gaga, 25, was spotted with Taylor Kinney, 30, the hunk from her video “You And I” (above) in his hometown of Mission Viejo, California. They spent three days dressed down, trying not to attract attention while looking affectionate in local places. Lady Gaga needs love too.
