JOHN TRAVOLTA’S GOTTI MOVIE IS FALLING APART

Producers of that overpublicized “Gotti” movie must have promised John Travolta a humongous salary or else he would have dropped out of the troubled project by now. According to Showbiz 411, producer Marco Fiori (who happens to be an excon) failed to raise enough money to keep the January start date for production, so they found a new producer. So far there’s a lot of bad blood between the players and investors are questionable. The Gotti family has been actively involved in casting and promoting and publicizing their movie – they even courted Lindsay Lohan to costar, but THAT didn’t work out. Too many press conferences and not enough action. Somehow we don’t see this movie ever getting made.

ELLEN AND PORTIA’S DOGS ARE VEGAN TOO

Not only are Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi both vegans, but they have cats and a dogs at home that are vegans also. Feeding themselves is not difficult, especially since they are opening a vegan restaurant in the San Fernando Valley on Ventura Blvd. Finding appropriate pet food with no animal byproducts is not as easy. So now Ellen and Portia are looking into coming out with a complete line of vegan pet food.

KIM KARDSHIAN: KRIS HUMPHRIES GOT OUT OF THE MARRIAGE JUST IN TIME

Kim Kardashian hoped her series Kourtney and Kim Take New York, filmed right after her marriage, would reveal that she was an innocent victim who accidentally married a monster. After their honeymoon, Kim insisted she and Kris Humphries move into a NY hotel suite with her sister and boyfriend Scott Disick and their baby. Kris was immediately uncomfortable living with “The Bickersons” and their cute but noisy baby whose playroom was right outside their bedroom door. Did Kim care? No. Kim planned all sorts of nightlife events for her TV show and Kris worried about concentrating on his training. Again, Kim made no attempt to compromise. To his credit, he didn’t indulge her nonsense and refused to let her push him around. His midwestern normality certainly clashed with her high profile frivolity and rampant self-indulgence. This marriage WAS doomed because they didn’t try living together before they got married. Kris escaped with his decency intact.

Teenage bride Courtney Stodden and her 51 year old husband Doug Hutchison did their best to make a scene at The Grove Sunday. Courtney inappropriately stuffed herself into a black skintight cocktail dress with a plunging neckline and high platforms and sashayed her way into Victoria’s Secret (where else?) to pick up some undies. ELIZABETH TAYLOR SHARED HER GOOD FORTUNE WITH HER FRIENDS

Elizabeth Taylor did not forget her longtime friends when she passed away in March at the age of 79. Her close friend and hairdresser Jose Eber was in the process of trying to move his Beverly Hills salon to a better location in the year before she died. Jose desperately wanted the space that Christie’s auction house was vacating on Camden Drive in Beverly Hills. It was a choice piece of real estate with many parties interested, but because Liz had arranged for Christie’s to auction off her estate, she made sure that Jose got the desirable space. He decorated the posh new salon in her favorite colors of lavender and purple in a final tribute to Elizabeth. STILL GOING STRONG: EVA MENDES AND RYAN GOSLING VISIT JIM MORRISON’S GRAVE

It’s nice to see that it wasn’t just a setside romance for Eva Mendes ,37, and Ryan Gosling, 31. Ryan flew to Paris to visit Eva while she‘s filming Holly Motors there. He stopped by the set and later they took a walk around the city, including a visit to the Jim Morrison cemetery. They first started dating In September, while costarring in The Place Beyond the Pines. Ryan is probably relieved to escape the flattering but slightly embarrassing fuss fans made when he was NOT named Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine.
