HERE’S WHAT WE KNOW

Another whirlwind political week with the news that President Joe Biden was ending his campaign and all but anointed his successor, Vice President Kamala Harris. We are hearing that Hollywood was starting to abandon Joe after that scathing op-ed by George Clooney, but is now gearing up for the biggest star studded fundraiser EVER, to boost Kamala’s financial war chest. The details are still being sorted out, but according to my source it’s going to rival with Academy Awards with A-listers willing to contribute a minimum of $100,000 for an invite. We will share more details as we hear them.

Speaking of Joe Biden, now that he’s bowing out of the race and set to retire in January once his presidency is over, we just heard he’s planning a major change. Although Joe has called Delaware his home for most of his life, he wants to be closer to his California based son Hunter, so he’s already working with a top LA based realtor looking at suitable homes in the LA area. My source says that he wants to be on or near a beach and security is one of the concerns so he’s looking at gated waterfront properties from Orange County up through Santa Barbara.

Jennifer Aniston made headlines after she took to social media in a heartfelt post about women who can’t bear children after misogynistic comments from vice presidential candidate JD Vance recently resurfaced. Just heard from a well placed source that Jen, who usually stays away from the nastiness of politics, is now going all in for Kamala Harris and will soon appear alongside her at a political rally focusing on women’s reproductive rights.

Speaking of JD Vance, there are some rumblings that Donald Trump regrets listing to his son, Don Junior, who was pushing for Vance to be selected as the running mate. Our spot-on political source reports that there’s a plan being talked about to have Vance bow out of the campaign and claim a personal family matter is the reason. My source insists that Trump completely regrets choosing Vance, but if he decides not to replace him, you can expect to hear a lot less of JD on the campaign trial. As my source put it, Trump didn’t trust his instincts and was swayed by his son and now has serious second thoughts.

Enough politics -back to entertainment. Celine Dion made headlines for two things – performing at the Olympics and signing up for a residency at Resorts World in Las Vegas. What DIDN’T come out though, is what we just heard. She’s also recording a new album which will drop around the same time she kicks off her residency in Sin City.

And finally, as we exclusively reported, Leah Remini finally sold her Studio City, California home and we just heard she’s now looking for a new home in the LA Valley, but wants one in a guard gated community. Our source explains that Leah is still be hounded by her former pals in Scientology so that’s why she’s hypersensitive to make sure her new home has ample armed security guards.

HOLLYWOOD IS PRESSURING JOE BIDEN

A defiant Joe Biden refuses to end his presidential campaign despite calls from within the Democratic Party that it’s time for him to pass the torch. Biden’s insistence in staying in the race, and possibly handing the presidency back to convicted felon Donald Trump, isn’t winning him many fans among Hollywood’s elite. According to my source, a group of Hollywood A-listers just canceled their plans to host a $100,000 per person fundraiser in Pacific Palisades for Biden, and now many other celebs are jumping ship. Rob Reiner was one of the first to beg Biden to quit, but his pleas fell on deaf ears, so now other movers and shakers are planning to go public in hopes of getting Biden to throw in the towel.

According to an insider, now that he’s suspended his presidential campaign, the former VP is focused on the next chapter of his career and has hired an agent to get him jobs. Before he announced his bid for the White House, Mike was quietly approached about appearing on Dancing With The Stars, and while flattered, his religious beliefs wouldn’t allow him to dance with anyone other than his wife. While that show is off the table, Mike is open to most anything else – including hosting a conservative talk show or even a reality show based on his family.

Travis Kelce has become a household name thanks to his new romance with Taylor Swift, and he’s been bitten again by the Hollywood bug! It’s not well known, but early in his football career Travis starred in a reality show, Catching Kelce where 50 women (one from each state) competed for his affections. The show only lasted 8 episodes and Travis never found love, so he gave up his entertainment ambitions and focused on football. Thanks to his romance with Taylor, Hollywood is calling once again! He recently told his new agents at CAA that he’s ready for more opportunities away from sports. And that’s not all- he recently hired an acting coach to help him hone his skills!

Whoa. It was a jolt when we saw this photo of Amelia Hamlin (Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin’s daughter) because she does NOT look like the average 20 year old. Does Hollywood make girls grow up faster? Sure, she’s beautiful, but most college-age girls look a lot less serious and vampy. Remember, Amelia broke up with 35 year old Scott Disick not long ago, so maybe he influenced her. It seems like an awful lot of Hollywood’s second generation kids are skipping college and using their famous last names to become influencers on social media and it’s a shame they have to miss the college experience and grow up so fast…

BTS SANG AND DANCED IN THE STREET IN HOLLYWOOD

We drive past the busy Hollywood intersection in front of CBS on Beverly Blvd almost every day, but today the whole block was closed off for filming while honking cars waited on all sides. Big AMA winners BTS, dressed in black and yellow, took over the block dancing under the direction of Late Late Show host James Corden, who joined in the dance himself. Those big yellow letters above spelled out BUTTER- the record-breaking song by the group. Total hysteria in the neighborhood was avoided because BTS pretty much danced in a hurry and quickly departed.

It’s award season and the publication is celebrating ten actors, directors, and producers who made a splash during the pandemic. Cohen successfully filmed his Borat 2 movie under challenging pandemic circumstances and it won him a Golden Globe. He takes delight in making fun of American politics.

There is a group of women in Hollywood who seem to LIVE for the paparazzi and will do almost anything to get their attention. On a sunny day you might see one in a sexy outfit walking her dog, but sunny days have been few and far between. Some of these potential pin-ups are even friendly with a specific photographer who will follow them around, hoping to get photos they can sell. These attention-seeking starlets are clever, and one (Blanca Blanco) dressed up in this creative outfit to go shopping, knowing she would turn heads in the supermarket. She had very little competition.

JIM PARSONS MIGHT SURPRISE YOU IN “HOLLYWOOD”

Here’s something to look forward to: Ryan Murphy’s series about the golden age of Hollywood (called Hollywood) debuts on Netflix May 1, and it looks like FUN. The series features celebrity characters of the era intermixing with fictional characters. The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons has the juicy role of Henry Willson– he was the gay talent agent responsible for all those he-man hunks in the fifties. Henry discovered and renamed his stable of handsome guys including Rock Hudson, Tab Hunter, Rory Calhoun, Troy Donahue, Guy Madison, etc. Some, but not all, the actors were also gay. Henry ended up selling stories to Confidential magazine about some of his clients in order to suppress a gay story about his biggest client Rock Hudson.

HAS JOE PESCI GONE HOLLYWOOD?

Sporting a cream colored cashmere double breasted topcoat and SUNGLASSES AT NIGHT, it appears that The Irishman gangster Joe Pesci has “gone Hollywood”- and indeed, he has. For the past 30 years, Joe has lived at the Jersey Shore in an 8 bedroom 8 bathroom mansion. A few weeks ago, Joe put his home on the market for 6.5 million and he admits he has finally decided to move the sunny Los Angeles where he can play golf year around.
