John Gotti

JOHN TRAVOLTA: FROM SCIENTOLOGY KINGPIN TO MAFIA DON

Against all odds, that John Gotti movie about gangster father and son, that’s been talked about for SO MANY years is actually being made! The new title is The Life and Death of John Gotti. And it’s a family affair – John Travolta is starring as the flamboyant mobster, his wife Kelly Preston is playing his movie wife Victoria Gotti, and their daughter Ella Bleu, 16, is playing the Gotti’s daughter Angel. Sounds weird, but back in 2011, Lindsay Lohan ALMOST had the role of Victoria and Ben Foster was asked to play John Gotti Jr! After years of script, director, and money problems, the film is full steam ahead – shooting in Manhattan. (Entourage’s Kevin Connolly is directing!) Travolta IS getting into character (above) and we love his new hair – he should keep it that way. We can’t help thinking about the similarities between Scientology and the Mafia….

JOHN TRAVOLTA’S GOTTI MOVIE IS “SLEEPING WITH THE FISHES”

#johntravolta #gotti #janetcharlton

John Travolta’s gay sex scandal might NOT be the only reason for the collapse of the much heralded “Gotti: In The Shadow Of My Father” movie. Last year the proposed movie got a lot of publicity when Lindsay Lohan was chosen to play Victoria Gotti. Lindsay ‘s behavioral problems led to her being replaced by Kelly Preston. Strangely, John Travolta, his wife and daughter Ella ALL had parts in the troubled movie. Directors and actors came and went, but when producers were revealed to be two wiseguys who served time in prison, things really fell apart. After the Travolta scandal hit the papers, an associate of the Gotti family doubted that Gotti Jr would want John to play his father, but John Jr insisted that was NOT true. Having gangsters as producers IS probably a bad idea, however. (We love any excuse to post a photo of Victoria Gotti’s three sons – above.)

JOHN TRAVOLTA’S GOTTI MOVIE IS FALLING APART

Producers of that overpublicized “Gotti” movie must have promised John Travolta a humongous salary or else he would have dropped out of the troubled project by now. According to Showbiz 411, producer Marco Fiori (who happens to be an excon) failed to raise enough money to keep the January start date for production, so they found a new producer. So far there’s a lot of bad blood between the players and investors are questionable. The Gotti family has been actively involved in casting and promoting and publicizing their movie – they even courted Lindsay Lohan to costar, but THAT didn’t work out. Too many press conferences and not enough action. Somehow we don’t see this movie ever getting made.
