A talkative friend of ours HAPPENED to be on the set of Lady Gaga’s TV series American Horror Story and we asked her every question in the book. Our spy observed that GaGa is clearly not as experienced as the other actors, but she loves doing it and has a quirky talent for being highly watchable. “With a little training she could win an Oscar someday” we were told. Only five feet tall, Gaga pays the price for wearing those insanely high heels – her feet hurt all the time. Consequently, she has a masseuse on the set every day who manipulates her tootsies between shots. That’s our girl!

MAN ABOUT TOWN DAVE DAVIES AND STAR WARS’ MARK HAMILL
Dave Davies appeared at The Roxy this week and his Kinks fans turned up in screaming droves. Among them was longtime admirer Mark Hamill. The Star Wars icon and Dave have been friends for decades – they met back in the 70’s and stayed in touch. Mark’s own fans tried to pry secrets out of him about the new Star Wars movie, but he wouldn’t reveal a thing. Backstage Dave and Mark reminisced while Rodney Bingenheimer appropriately looked over their shoulders. Dave is just finishing up his American tour promoting his new album Rippin’ Up New York City. GWEN STEFANI AND BLAKE SHELTON: BIRDS OF A FEATHER
Gwen Stefani took her boys to a pet shop today and they made friends with all sorts of colorful birds. Gwen is fearless and had big talkative parrots crawling all over her. The family checked out all the birds and finally settled on a young bright green and yellow parrot. Some gossips are wondering if her “romance” with Blake Shelton is all just a publicity stunt, but we think not. Gwen comes from a down home working class Orange County family and Blake is actually more her type than her English rockstar estranged husband. They have more in common than you might think…

IRELAND BALDWIN GETS A LITTLE HELP FROM HER FRIENDS
A bunch of celebrities turned up for the Hollywood launch party of the Fallout 4 video game. Ireland Baldwin made an unsteady exit at the end of the festive evening and was helped out by friends. She and her pals stopped at a gas station on the way home for gas and other necessities. She WAS in rehab not long ago, but that was for “emotional problems” – not substance abuse.

GWYNETH PALTROW JUST GAVE US ANOTHER REASON NOT TO WEAR CULOTTES – NOT THAT WE NEEDED ONE
This photo of Gwyneth Paltrow was taken as she walked out of a Beverly Hills beauty salon and we HOPE her hairdresser gave her some unsolicited fashion advice: “CULOTTES ARE NOT FLATTERING TO ANYONE.” Gwyneth is considered to be one of the classic beauties of our time, but put her in a pair of low slung culottes and she looks dumpy and shapeless. Imagine how they look on an average person.

IT HAD TO HAPPEN – KAIA GERBER LANDED A MOVIE ROLE
Kaia Gerber, 14, has been making the party rounds with her mom Cindy Crawford – at least the parties that involve fashion, which she loves. Mother and daughter shopped at the Balmain H&M VIP prelaunch party at the LA store last night. Consequently they could browse the merchandise in peace and avoid the frantic crowds at the opening today. Today the glam pair dressed down for an appearance at Universal Studios where they guested on Extra. Kaia models occasionally when school permits, and already has a movie role in “Sister Cities.” Hopefully, her acting debut will be more successful than Cindy’s. Her mom NEVER did another film after her first one flopped.

TOM CRUISE: ASK ME NO QUESTIONS…!
Right now Tom Cruise is in New Orleans filming “Never Go Back” and he’s surrounded by Scientologist minions who are fending off reporters anxious to get a comment from Tom about the Leah Remini firestorm. Tom doesn’t dare make a negative remark about Leah because it will turn more people against him, but he’s probably SEETHING if he has the temper Leah claims he has. But Tom knows how to put on a happy face in spite of reports that he rarely sees his daughter Suri any more. He makes a point of being nice nice to the people he works with on the set and above, he played soccer with an extra between shots.

“BROOKLYN” – PROBABLY THE BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR
Last night we fell in love with a movie. And it’s been a long time since THAT happened. “Brooklyn” is a brilliant and subtle masterpiece. It’s the kind of deeply personal story that you rarely see on screen any more. It’s about leaving a comfortable home and being brave enough to take on a whole new world. Saoirse Ronan plays a young Irish girl given the opportunity to leave her small town and move to Brooklyn, New York in the 50’s. Her performance is so achingly real and identifiable that she deserves an Oscar. The script is beautifully written, both funny and sentimental, and all the acting is delicate and precise. Emory Cohen as a young Italian Brooklynite is a revelation. Unfamiliar faces make the characters really come to life. Don’t miss this one.
HEIDI KLUM AND HER MYSTERY MAN
Heidi Klum, 42, posted this Instagram photo of herself “having a midnight snack” in Munich with a man identified as her father Gunther. It looks like it was taken in Heidi’s hotel room and Heidi and her dad are about to devour chocolate cake ordered from room service. Gunther, 69, is also Heidi’s manager, and he must be very happy because he’s partly responsible for her becoming one of the most successful models of all time.
