HERE’S WHAT WE KNOW
Bravo boss Andy Cohen was in the news for all of the wrong reasons because a judge ruled former RHONY star Leah McSweeney’s lawsuit against him and the network can move forward in public court. Here’s what we know. The LAST thing Andy wants is for his dirty laundry to be aired in public, so my inside source predicts this case will NEVER see the inside of a courtroom. Long story short, negotiations are about to begin to reach a confidential settlement. Remember, among other salacious accusations, Leah alleges that Andy partook in cocaine with some of the Housewives.
Rebecca Gayheart was in the news for revealing a memorial is in the works for her late husband Eric Dane. We can tell you this. Rebecca has been distancing herself from Eric’s inner circle (apparently she felt his friends were bad influences on him) so his buddies are now planning their own memorial for Eric. My source says that the tight knit guys (some are even from Eric’s AA group) are heartbroken that Rebecca is shutting them out.
The Oscars were in the news and we can tell you this. The ratings were WAY down for the snoozefest of a show and behind closed doors, producers are already scrambling to make MAJOR changes, especially for the 2028 ceremony since that will be the 100th anniversary of the awards ceremony. The hunt for a new host has already started, since although Conan O’Brien got good reviews, he just didn’t bring in the younger viewers or many viewers at all.
Oscar nominee Timothee Chalamet made headlines for what he DIDN’T do – win the Best Actor Oscar. We can tell you this. Despite putting on a happy face and cheering for winner Michael B. Jordan, Timothee was PISSED and even briefly tweeted and then immediately deleted his disappointment at his movie Marty Supreme getting shut out at the ceremony. My source says Timmy is taking a break from Hollywood and planning for a mini reset in Sedona, Arizona to get his emotions in check. My source explains that he’s mad at himself for his missteps during the awards ceremony season, and wants to clear his head. He’s booked a week long sabbatical at a retreat known for these sort of resets.
As tidbits about the kidnapping of Savannah Guthrie’s mom, Nancy, continue to make news two months after the incident, we can tell you this. A private investigator hired by the family has advised them that they believe the odds of Nancy still being alive are very slim. The family, including Savannah, is trying hard to stay positive, but with each passing day they seem less and less optimistic. We do know that the investigation has secretly turned to the search for satellite images from the government! This is very costly and time consuming, but with nothing else to go on, it’s considered the only remaining option.
Sarah Michelle Geller was in the news when she revealed that her much anticipated Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot was nixed by Hulu. We can tell you this. All is not lost folks- and NETFLIX is trying to broker a deal to save the planned series, which has a rabid following. It’s a little complicated for reasons that are above our pay grade, but if the legal details can be worked out, Buffy will be back!
The Vanity Fair after- Oscars bash was talked about as photos from their red carpet were everywhere. Our source inside the party revealed this. The one celebrity everyone was angling to meet and get photographed with, was Olympic champion Alysa Liu. Despite a room full of A-listers and past and present Oscar winners, my source says that scoring a selfie with Alysa (who we think is a breath of fresh air for her independent thinking) was the prize of the night.
