We’ve been perplexed since footballer Travis Kelce signed up to become Global Brand Ambassador and “creative collaborator” for Tommy Hilfiger. It’s SO strange. First of all, does the youth oriented company even make Kelce’s SIZE? He’s 6’5″ and 250 lbs! Hilfiger’s male customers are classic American collegiate types who cannot afford Ralph Lauren, and wear a lot of polo shirts and khakis. Nothing very creative or avant-garde. It seems like Jacob Elordi or Austin Butler would have been a better choice to attract new customers. Can’t help but wonder if Travis would have been offered the job if he weren’t engaged to Taylor Swift…

I actually think Hilfiger style is sort of jock-preppy so Kelce kind of fits. Probably wouldn’t have been my top casting choice but I really don’t see it being Elordi or Butler who act/dress broody not preppy.

I’m still not convinced Travis and Taylor is for real and a wedding will actually take place. It seems more like a merging. We’ll see.

Tommy Hilfiger is lucky to still be in business, period. But once Taylor sees her fiancee in that horrible sweater, one of two things will happen. Either she will insist that he hire a lawyer to nullify the arrangement with Hilfiger, or she will buy the company.
