CARDI B IS HER OWN WORST ENEMY

We simply could NOT let Cardi B‘s appearance at the Met Gala go unmentioned here. We voted her look Most Unfunctional. Melissa Rivers brilliantly described Cardi’s look as “intestinal” and indeed, the flesh colored lumps under glittery black flowers DO look like oozing intestines. Unfortunately, the lumps and bumps do not make Cardi look more attractive or slimmer, and she could barely walk anywhere without help. If you want to know how this relates to the party theme of “art,” ask the designer Marc Jacobs. Does ANYONE like this?

From the outside looking in, this blonde beauty seems to have it all:  looks, fame, power, and more money than she knows what to do with.  But her life is far from the Norman Rockwell picture she paints.  Her “perfect” husband is ANYTHING but perfect, and she recently discovered he strayed and had a child out of wedlock with someone overseas.  She’s not happy about it, but decided to shrug it off to maintain the illusion that she’s living the perfect life with the perfect man.

Our mega wealthy Hollywood fixture’s marriage ended in DISASTER, but it could have been so much worse.  Sure, it cost our guy a pretty penny to wrap things up with his previous partner, but for him it was a drop in the bucket – and money well spent.  You see, his previous partner threatened to blackmail him about an indiscretion our guy unknowingly had with someone underage.  While our guy was married, he had a brief fling with someone just a few months shy of being legal (they lied about their actual age). Our guy’s former partner was secretly the one who arranged the hookup (!)  and kept the evidence as blackmail.  THAT’S why their divorce seemed to suddenly resolve itself.

Our handsome fella got a taste of the good life thanks to his last romance – his girlfriend was quite generous! But as soon as the relationship ended, so did the high flying times.  Our guy is straight, but realizes he’s not going to find another woman to pick up the tab for his extravagant lifestyle, so he found himself a gay sugar daddy!  He made it clear to Daddy Warbucks that he’s heterosexual, and is only comfortable doing certain things in the bedroom.  The old guy agreed, and now his new arm candy is driving a fancy new sports car worth a half a million bucks.

Back on March 12 in our weekly Here’s What We Know, we exclusively reported that America’s newest sweetheart, Olympic Gold Medalist Alysa Liu was being wooed by Louis Vuitton.  Well, guess what? We told ya so.  On May 3 none other than Alysa herself confirmed our scoop on her Instagram – announcing she was collaborating with the fashion giant as an ambassador.  She’s already shot her first ad campaign for the luxury brand and it will be debuting soon. Naturally, Louis Vuitton dressed her up in a gorgeous gown for the Met Gala

KYLIE JENNER: WORST DRESSED AT MET GALA

It was a tough choice to pick the worst-dressed at this year’s Met Gala – there were SO many hypersexualized and just plain goofy and unflattering outfits. After all, the theme was Fashion is Art, so you’d expect everyone to be creatively attired. Lauren Sanchez, Irina Shayk, and Gigi Hadid were more interested in nudity than art, but we selected Kylie Jenner as Worst Dressed. She looked like the top of her gown had been totally torn off revealing her naked upper body. What does that have to do with art?

Way back in February we told you that Justin Baldoni was counting on Blake Lively to fold before her lawsuit against him ever went to trial and guess what –  THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED!  Although the case was resolved out of court just two weeks before the trial, we can tell you again, we told ya so.  Our source says Blake knew a public trial (which so many viewed as frivolous) could be the final nail in her career coffin, so she secretly folded, but insisted the terms of the settlement remain confidential.  Read between the lines: no money was exchanged, and the entire mess was just a colossal waste of time, money and energy.

LITTLE DOES SYDNEY SWEENEY KNOW…

She doesn’t know it yet, but Sydney Sweeney could wind up getting engaged by the end of summer! Sydney is turning 29 on September 12, and her boyfriend Scooter Braun is confiding to pals that if the romance continues on its current trajectory, he intends to propose on her birthday.  The music mogul is planning to whisk Sydney away for a romantic tropical birthday vacation and in addition to a swimsuit, he’s packing an engagement ring.  My source adds that Scooter is already working with a Beverly Hills jeweler to secure the perfect stone.

THE MET GALA: A NIGHT OF FUN OR A VULGAR DISPLAY OF WEALTH?

The incredibly indulgent Met Gala is tomorrow night – did you know there are 5 rules that attendees dare not break?  1- no phones, 2-no smoking, 3 -no touching artwork, 4-no guests under 18, and 5-no speaking to hostess Anna Wintour for more than 20 seconds at the top of the stairs.  Attention seeking celebrities who break these rules will NOT be invited back. Not sure if the event raises lots of money for the museum, but it certainly draws attention to Vogue magazine.  Imagine the money spent on each of the over-the-top outfits worn to this event. Last year Diana Ross had the longest train….

ARMIE HAMMER RETURNS TO THE GYM

They didn’t tie a yellow ribbon round the ole oak tree, but Armie Hammer’s gym friends did welcome him back with matching sweatshirts – featuring his MUG SHOT!  Armie works out daily at Easton Gym in Hollywood  (it’s the oldest gym in Los Angeles) but he was in Sofia, Bulgaria filming a movie for over a month.  (It’s the next step in his big comeback).  His posse, including actor Nicholas King and John Luciano (who hosts the podcast Hollywood and Divine with Armie’s mom, Dru Hammer) surprised him by donning the  custom sweatshirts when he returned to the gym on April 28.  After recently getting some flak on social media for bulking up and growing an unattractive mustache, Armie is back to his movie star looks – he cleaned up and shaved!
