Academy Awards Host Oscars Ryan Gosling

THE OSCARS WANT RYAN GOSLING TO HOST NEXT YEAR

He didn’t walk away with any of the awards, but Ryan Gosling was the night’s big winner at the Oscars. His energetic performance of I’m Just Ken stole the show, and the reviews were unanimous that he hit it out of the ballpark. Producers noticed, and he’s already been offered the opportunity to HOST next year‘s Oscars. According to our source, the Academy wants to go back to a big opening song and dance number like they did in the days when Billy Crystal hosted. After his recent performance, they feel Ryan is the PERFECT candidate, since he can sing dance, tell jokes and act.

PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN MIGHT POP UP AT THE OSCARS

Will they or won’t they? That’s the question Hollywood insiders are asking themselves now that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are secretly being wooed to become presenters at the upcoming Academy Awards! Now that they’ve gone Hollywood, the former royal couple have been offered a chance to present an Oscar at the upcoming ceremony. The invite is being kept a secret since they haven’t agreed to appear, but our knowledgable source reveals it could very well happen since the pair are already planning to attend the coveted after parties, including the ones hosted by Vanity Fair and Netflix. The details are still being sorted out, but if they agree the plan is for them to present either the award for best foreign film or best documentary.

WHY DID RIHANNA OPT OUT OF OSCAR NOMINEE EVENT?

What do Rihanna and Jamie Lee Curtis have in common? They’re both currently nominated for Oscars and they’re both skipping the prestigious nominees dinner. While Jamie Lee passed on the event because it would go past her 9pm bedtime, Rihanna said thanks but no thanks for an entirely different reason. She skipped the event because she wasn’t allowed to bring her baby daddy, ASAP Rocky. The annual dinner has a strict NO plus-ones policy because they want nominees to get to know each other. Rihanna understood the rules, but for SOME reason she couldn’t bear to go alone…

Academy Awards Chris Rock Oscars The Slap Will Smith

WHAT IF WILL SMITH HAD BEEN FORCED TO LEAVE THE OSCARS?

We just heard that after THE SLAP, Will Smith WAS asked by the Academy to leave the ceremony and he REFUSED! Of course this makes Smith’s egotistical behavior look even WORSE, and hopefully the Academy will be more likely to punish him in some way. Just imagine what MIGHT have happened if security guards had INSISTED that Smith leave, and attempted to “walk” him out forcefully! Smith would struggle and Denzel Washington would probably have leapt into the fray to try and calm things down. Tuxedoes notwithstanding, other hot-headed actors would have jumped at the chance to defend whatever side they were on. It could have degenerated into quite a melee (although many viewers would have loved it) so give the Academy a break. It’s so nice to hear that after THE SLAP, Chris Rock’s standup tour tickets started selling like crazy – this will be quite profitable for him.

Jada Pinkett Oscars Statement Will Smith

JADA PINKETT: “THERE’S A TIME FOR HEALING AND I’M HERE FOR IT”

Just as we predicted, Jada Pinkett is NOT taking sides on the Will Smith debacle. She has obviously been warned by her “people” that she can’t win- whether she backs up her husband or apologizes for him- people will criticize her. We had hoped that Jada was too independent to hold back her real feelings, but her “diplomatic” and absurdly vague statement posted on Instagram has succeeded in saying absolutely NOTHING. THIS is the best she can do?

Chris Rock Jada Pinkett Oscars Will Smith

JADA PINKETT DOESN’T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT

What we REALLY want to know is how did Jada Pinkett feel about her husband Will’s behavior at the Oscars! She has kept conspicuously quiet about the issue. Do you suppose she felt GRATEFUL that Will “chivalrously” defended her against Chris Rock’s remarks? Keep in mind, being compared to Demi Moore in G.I.Jane is HARDLY an insult. Certainly Will violently overreacted, but did Jada secretly appreciate it? Or was she appalled and HUMILIATED? Jada happened to look fabulous on Oscar night and Will’s behavior pulled attention away from her and everyone else. We’ve heard about their marriage problems – will this help or hurt their relationship? Jada will be criticized either way – whether she supports Will’s behavior or condones it – so we think she will NOT comment. Meanwhile, we don’t think Chris Rock did anything wrong and he carried on like a trouper. We also think Will’s “people” forced him to make that apology today to avoid getting kicked out of the Academy.

BRITNEY’S FIANCEE IS PARTYING WITHOUT HER

OK- here’s a little Oscar mystery. Britney Spears’ personal trainer fiancee Sam Asghari turned up dressed in a tuxedo, at the Elton John AIDS viewing party ALONE. No Britney. What do you suppose happened? Certainly Britney was the one invited. Invitees donate a lot of money to enjoy this event. Tickets just to the after-party cost over $5000 apiece- and the dinner tickets (when Sam arrived) costs $9000 per person. Did Britney back out at the last minute? If so, why did Sam come alone? Does he have wealthy friends to hang with inside? Hmmm…

Academy Awards Anti-vax Beyoncé Oscars Proof of Vaccination

IS BEYONCE ANTI-VAX?

Because she was nominated for her song Be Alive from King Richard, Beyonce is blessing the Oscars with a much-needed live performance on the show. The website Gawker has calculated the it is highly probable that Beyonce is NOT vaccinated. The Oscars require that all nominees and guests show proof of vaccination and negative tests before they can attend the show. Strangely, PERFORMERS and presenters will only need to be tested in accordance with LA County rules. Did the Academy have different rules for performers because they REALLY want Beyonce on the show? Also suspicious- recently Beyonce did NOT attend the ceremony when her husband Jay-Z was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame– where proof of vaccination was required.

Best Dressed Carey Mulligan Oscars Valentino

CAREY MULLIGAN IS STILL A WINNER

Carey Mulligan may not have won a Best Actress Oscar, but she won our Best Dressed vote. It’s been awhile since we’ve seen a significant group of red carpet gowns, so the Oscars were a welcome relief. After reviewing all the choices, (and seeing this Vogue photo) we decided Carey Mulligan’s Valentino Couture gown was the most amazing dress at the Oscars. It fit perfectly and it’s not a dress we feel like we’ve seen before. Carey was surrounded by a sea of sexy low cut gowns with high slits and she remains elegant without all that skin displayed. We can only imagine the size of the vehicle she arrived in, with this huge skirt….
