We have to admit that this trailer for “The Beaver” doesn’t look as awful as we imagined it would. Maybe it’s a good thing that Mel Gibson’s character is a depressed and broken man rather than a macho know-it-all. Jodie Foster’s loyalty to her flawed friend is rather sweet. The movie’s coming out May 20 – will you see it?
Jodie Foster Mel Gibson Trailer Video
Abso-freakin-lutely not.
I won’t see it.
NO.
Watching the trailer, I also have to say that there is NO chemistry between the two. The chemistry is there, friends-wise… but not in a husband/wife way… Jodie needs to stick to roles that don’t require her to be in a relationship w/ someone of the male gender!
NO! Could I say it any louder? NO! Stupid idea plain and simple, and he is OH-VAH!
After watching this clip, all I can say is…poor Jody. What is she doing to her career? TRYING to stab it to death with a fat, dirty, nasty, puppet? Oh and then there’s that thing on Mel Gibson’s hand too…
Oh, so this is why she defended him? I thought she had lost her mind. Whew.
No. I don’t watch anything with anti semitic, raving imbecile Mel Gibson.
I haven’t like Jodie Foster in a movie since the 90’s. The more I hear her talk (interviews & such), the more I dislike her. There’s something very cold and hard about her.
Walt, I couldn’t agree more. And btw, many are wondering why she doesn’t come out of the closet already. It is not such a closely guarded secret any more.
Can’t stand either one of them, especially her constant defense of this racist, drunken woman beating adulterer.
This looks good. Kinda like Lars and the Real Girl, which was really cute….and deep…like this seems to be. Jodie Foster always delivers quality. The most recent thing I saw her in was “Brave” and she played a crime victim/gentle radio personality turned vigilante. She was very good in it.
Good concept but unfortunately, Mel lost all his good will when he engaged in his drunken anti-semitic rants. And Indy, Jodie’s been out of the closet for sometime now, only she didn’t do with a big announcement and fanfare.
ewwwwwww…. u could not PAY me to see it
Indy, why does it MATTER to you if she does or doesn’t “come out of the closet”? Can’t the woman just live her life? Why does she have to answer to YOU or anyone about her sexuality? Do YOU go around explaining YOUR sexuality to everyone YOU meet? Bet not. Gays have no more responsibility to tell us what they do in private than than heterosexuals do. It’s a moot point Indy, get used to it, it’s none of your business.
I would still like to see Jodie Fosters’ beaver. It probably is not as cute as it used to be and I think that not many men have ever seen her beaver. I would even eat her beaver so she could decide whether I was as good of a beaver eater as her girlfriend. I like to eat beaver and if you get fresh beaver it does taste very much like chicken.
I think the trailer is well-done and the story is interesting but I agree that it’s hard to buy Foster and Gibson as husband and wife. To those who think Jodie is still in the closet, that’s complete bunk. She has spoken openly about being a lesbian several times, including talk shows.
well, lesbians hope so………..
i don’t care for JF or any of her movies much but I really admired her sticking by her friend no matter what. THAT is rare and priceless….
My brother did this 30 years ago with a cat doll–did help him for awhile-till drugs took his soul.
I think it looks like a cute family movie, and I’ll probably see it.
WaitCliff I agree. Jodie said in an interview that she “hates weakness” and if she saw an injured animal on the side of the road she would stomp it into the ground. That’s pretty cold. (and mean!)
Really, Vivian? And what interview would THAT be? I can’t imagine a woman as intelligent as Jodie Foster is saying something that colossally DUMB. What a way to instantly kill all public support of your career. I don’t believe it unless you can point to something verifiable. Otherwise it’s just a nasty, destructive remark, one of many made against celebrities, mainly gay ones, in an attempt to destroy them. How better than to say something about weak animals and wanting to hurt them. Vile.
