DEBBIE HARRY MAY PART WITH HER BELOVED WARHOL PORTRAIT – FOR THE RIGHT PRICE

Warhol collectors get ready. Debbie Harry, 68, is planning to sell the portrait Andy did of her in 1980. She was one of his favorite subjects and the art looks great in her living room. But Debbie has been complaining about how expensive it is to insure the artwork. She noted that another Debbie Harry picture sold for nearly 6 million back in 2011. So now the Heart of Glass singer is thinking of selling and using the money for her retirement fund.

  1. An original Warhol sitting on top of a radiator? That can’t be good.

  2. Let’s hope that radiator shot is ONLY for the picture. I say sell the darn thing, for one she’s probably tired of looking at it and 6 million is ALLOT OF MONEY.

  3. I would suggest the painting is only on the radiator for the picture.
If it is a painting? It looks giclee to me.

  4. Is she nuts? This is a no-brainer—-sell the damn thing before it gets warped or damaged, reducing it by about $2mil. duhduhduh

  5. Sell it and enjoy the money! Who care if she “needs” it. Don’t we all?

  6. Yeah, she should just sell it and enjoy the dough. I hope she has a nice retirement. I have met her and she is the nicest rock star ever.

  7. Make a damn copy… It’s only a silkscreen… not a painting!
Hang the repro… Say you sold the original…( or not ).. most people wouldn’t doubt it.. (or be able to tell the difference anyway!! .). .enjoy the money..Warhol was only a pop art person anyway…not exactly Rembrandt.
Sell it before it warps and she gets rid of a piece that just reminds her of what might have been!
