Okay, this dress could go either way. You might think Kim Kardashian looks incredibly sexy, or you might not think it’s not flattering at all. Maybe you agree with Project Runway’s Tim Gunn who pronounced Kim as “trashy, not classy.” What’s your opinion?
EvansWard/jpistudios.comIt’s a Project Runway reunion at Tim Gunn’s booksigning at FIDM (The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) in LA, which drew a looooong line of people. The book is called “Tim Gunn: A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style.” Tim welcomed two of his favorite Runway contestants, Andrae Gonzalo and Nick Verreos. (One of Tim’s most memorable lines on the show was “Where’s Andrae?” ) Anyway, Andrae has been teaching at FIDM and he is reportedly VERY popular with the students. Nick is now the official spokesperson for FIDM and he has been doing lots of pageant gowns for Miss USA and Miss Universe. Plus Nick filmed an episode of A Simple Life with Paris and Nicole, and a new CW reality show called Crowned. All these Runway fashion people are so busy and popular, but Bravo does NOT allow them to use the name Project Runway to promote themselves in any way! WE can mention it, but they can’t. It’s in the contracts.
We love the fact that Project Runway’s Andre Gonzalo has a delightfully big mouth. Remember him? He was the guy two seasons ago with the shaved head and a tendancy to disappear, causing Tim Gunn to repeat “Where’s Andre?” Anyway, we ran into Andre at the World of Wonder Christmas party and we mentioned the rumor that Tim Gunn might not be returning to the show. Supposedly the show schedule might conflict with Tim’s work as head of the fashion design department at Parsons. Andre scoffed at the notion and called it a publicity stunt. He said the show films at Parsons when school is NOT in session. So how could it conflict with Tim’s job? He’s confident the show will NOT have to go on without Tim.
