THANDIE NEWTON: WORKING WITH TOM CRUISE CAN BE A MISSION IMPOSSIBLE

We are almost as delighted as Leah Remini was to hear the remarks that Thandie Newton made about Tom Cruise when they filmed Mission Impossible II back in 2000. Tom Cruise’s costars rarely say a WORD about him because he is a powerful figure in Hollywood AND a Scientology ambassador. Thandie’s comments were not actually BAD – but you can read between the lines. She described Tom as extremely dominant – he feels that only HE knows how to do everything best. It’s HIS way or the highway. Most important, she said he “tries superhard to be a NICE person.” Apparently it’s a huge effort. Scientology demands that their celebrities APPEAR to be friendly and likeable – especially when they’re handing out Scientology literature! If Tom was so controlling 20 years ago, what’s he like NOW?

NICO PARKER: SOME PEOPLE ARE BORN LUCKY

Nico Parker is the 14 year old daughter of Westworld star Thandie Newton and writer/director Oliver Parker (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.) Lucky Nico looks a LOT like her beautiful mother and her future couldn’t be brighter. She says she never really thought about following in her mother’s footsteps and becoming an actress. Just for fun, she auditioned for the movie Dumbo and landed a leading role! Smart Nico intends to finish her education before she thinks about acting again. Her mom is happy about her success but intends to keep an close eye on her.

THANDIE NEWTON’S DAUGHTER IS FOLLOWING IN HER FOOTSTEPS

Westworld star Thandie Newton and her cute daughter Nico Parker, 14, like to do their Christmas shopping in New York. Nico does resemble her mom, and it so happens she’s making her film debut in a leading role in Tim Burton’s live-action version of Dumbo, coming out in 2019.Thandie’s husband of 20 years, Ol Parker is a director, so Nico has been on plenty of movie sets during her life. Still, Thandie says she watched over her teen daughter “like a lioness” while she was filming.
