Rod Stewart

ROD STEWART GETS EXTRA INCHES WHERE HE NEEDS THEM

We never could resist a story about a male celebrity with elevator shoes. Rod Stewart and his bride Penny Lancaster turned up at a Cartier party at the London Natural History Museum and miraculously they appeared to be close to the same height. Usually the 6’1″ Penny towers over Rod, who claims to be 5’10”. A close look revealed that not only was Penny wearing ballet flats, but Rod has shoes with built up heels. Whatever works.

ROD STEWART FORGOT THAT SIZE MATTERS

Poor Rod Stewart took a lot of flak from the UK Daily Mail for stuffing himself into what they called an “alarmingly tight” bathing suit (aka “budgie smugglers.”) They unfavorably compared him to Daniel “007” Craig who has a physique more suitable to the tight trunks. Rod looks fine for a guy his age, but next time he should buy a more flattering swimsuit – in a larger size.

ROD STEWART: YES TO KIMBERLY, NO TO SEAN

rodpennycut.jpgWe couldn’t help but wonder why Rod Stewart’s son Sean was NOT present when Rod married Penny Lancaster last weekend at that 17th century villa on the Italian Riviera. After all, Sean’s sister Kimberly was there. We found out that bad-boy Sean was NOT invited. Rod was not happy about Sean’s latest brick throwing dust-up and resulting lawsuit. He wouldn’t even buy Sean a COACH ticket. But insiders say Rod spoils his “little princess” Kim. Kimberly can do no wrong in her daddy’s eyes and he gives her anything she wants.

DO YA THINK I'M LEGAL?

Saturday night Rod Stewart had a major birthday party for his daughter Ruby (with Kelly Emberg) and 300 of her closest friends at his home in Beverly Hills. Since Ruby is only 19, Rod didn’t want ANY problems, so he had security guards at the door checking ID’s. Only guests over 21 were given wristbands that permitted them to drink alcoholic beverages. The rest had to settle for Red Bull or soft drinks. During the course of the evening, Rod personally enforced the rules and several times patrolled the festivities in a bathrobe, butting into groups, asking people “How old are you?” and checking their wristbands.
