HE TRIES HARDER

We love celebrities with good manners and professional behavior. And Michael Douglas fills the bill. A journalist friend of ours was at a press junket for Michael’s movie The Sentinal (which we liked) and the actor had to crank out five minute TV interviews with dozens of reporters from everywhere, one after another for days on end. It ‘s exhausting and repititious answering those questions over and over and many actors become cranky and impatient. Not only did Michael keep his cool and sense of humor, but he had his people do research and prepared for EACH quickie interview. He went out of his way to greet each reporter by name -he introduced himself to the newcomers and said “Nice to see you again” to the familiar faces. The journalists agreed it was a RARE occurrence and illustrated that OLD Hollywood stars are way more educated about common courtesy and dealing with the press.
